scoring glitch

Sorry it is small but it is clickable.

There has to be some sort of glitch with Matchmaking's tabulation system.  How is it even remotely possible that I got 5th place with the most kills, almost the least loses, capping half the flags, and the highest D/L?  2nd place was the only Isida and I can understand her placement, but the others were all shooters like me.

Since it is CTF battle, what matters MOST is the score. No matter how good your K/D is, if you have lower score than others, you won't be in the first place. Personally I don't see anything wrong with that battle and this section is meant for tech issues and problems only which in this case isn't. I would recommend you to gain more experience next time rather than going for good K/D in case you did but as I said, once again... score is what matters most. :)

Thanks for your quick reply.  OK, I'll restate it as score.

I got more kills than anyone on the winning team.  I lost less Tanks than almost anyone on the winning team.  I scored one of the two flag captures for the winning team.

It seems I should have gotten a higher score than someone who did not capture any flags, killed less, and lost more.

The D/L was not my focus but the amount of kills and flag captures.  This has to be some sort of glitch in the MM system to generate my score as low as it is.

Here is a comparison of scores:

XX_ZEVS    13 kill      12 loss     1 flag cap     score 350    1st place
JoeGuy       19 kill      10 loss     1 flag cap     score 190    5th place

Ilivia55pro    11 kill      15 loss     0 flag cap     score 227    3rd place
JoeGuy        19 kill      10 loss     1 flag cap     score 190    5th place

It seems to me I should have been in 1st place actually with morre kills and an equal amount of caps.  So my reasoning tells me it must be some sort of problem with the way scores are tabulated in the MM system.  See my point?  What might generate score besides kill, loss, and flag captures?

And I believe this to be a tech issue related to the MM system...I think it imay be a coding glitch in the new system that might need to be addressed along with several other issues as the tech guys try to sort out data and feedback.

You killed the most, but it doesn't mean that all the damage was done by you. Most of your teammates could've damaged others and you gave the final shot only. If so, you would not get a great score.

Also, the capture of a flag doesn't give you a great score if you were not the unique one who carried it to your base.

I don't think I "stole" most of my kills, but I don't have any evidence to back me up on something like that.  We may have shot the same guy a few times and I put in the last shot, but I am sure the majority were pretty much clean solo kills.  I do know I grabbed the flag and ran it to our base for the cap with no other influence, but again I can't demonstrate that.  I even ran the other captured flag part of the way and got killed so I was instrumental in one and unique on the other...but I can't show this with a screen cap.

Anyway, I still think it is a glitch.  If it is a problem in the system, others will be squaking about it too, so... Whatevers :)

Cheers!

Not a glitch XD

its just how score works.

if you make a complete kill by yourself you get 10 score and if that guy has flag you get 20 score.

If you capped 1 flag that means you got around 40-50 xp from that which means you got 150 score on 19 kills.

which is basically ~78%, so you indeed did solo kills a lot of times..but I dont think that was the case with others.

What if others where only doing half-damage and flags while not going for a complete kill ?

so they had a good score but not much kills.

I know you might be thinking right now, "I ALREADY KNOW THAT!! WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY IS THERE MIGHT BE SOME GLITCH"

Well..your reasons might be right (for believing there is a glitch) but its because of your perception of the situation and perception is based on your past experience. Same goes for everyone. That's where intuition kicks in.

Intuition is basically the thin-slicing response our sub-conscious gives us based upon our experience in past which were similar to the situation we are dealing with in present...and here my intuition says that everything is normal in that match.

I've played many battles (my rank can be taken in account for that) and I dont see anything out of ordinary in that battle.

Now who knows that there might be a glitch indeed. But if its a gamble..I'm not placing my bets over that statement (statement that there is a glitch, not the one I just wrote which contains that word of immense probability and suspense... "might") ...cause its unlikely or should I say improbable to get a glitch in "score" due to MM System, speaking as a Programmer, those 2 things are from completely different "Packages" and even if a glitch comes, it will affect MM System not score as MM system is retrieving or "calling": the object from "score" class..which basically wont affect the original class since when the data was passed, it was passed through new object that was created in MM System class ( now its again highly unlikely that Tanki Devs don't use "Call by Value" and instead uses "Call by Reference"  while writing their codes because if they use the latter...then this glitch is indeed possible but then too this glitch will be a tiny dot compared to the other glitches that will emerge)

^^
