[CP Mode] More experience for killing someone around a Point

As you all know, in CTF, when you kill an enemy holding your flag, you get 20 Exp points. Or 30 Exp points are shared if you were 2 or more to kill him.

 

Why not add the same thing in CP mode. Of course, not 20 Exp, it's far too big for this mode. But if you kill an enemy around the point (or capturing the point, it sounds more logical), you could get 12 or 13 Exp points. It would only work if the player you kill has that blue or red laser line connected to his tank.

 

And please, don't tell me this idea would encourage mult. There are already tons of  1v1 wasp-fire in Island CTF where players kill each other while holding flags ^^

It would make sense as killing a player staying near a point is more important that attacking someone else so we could get awarded a bit more for taking a better decision. However, it may decrease our exp/crystal ratio which is rather bad for lower ranks.

It won't matter soon, the Matchmaking will remove XP and funds from private battles. :P

 

Still sounds like a good and logical idea. :)

A very stupid idea to be honest. The closer you are to the point the more exposed you are to getting killed which leads to a bigger battle fund. There is no need to be ignorant and selfish here. Crystals are distributed fairly so there is no need to alter that.  ;)

Its a good idea because it will hopefully help those clueless noobs focus on the point.

I think it is already in the game because I once accidentaly ranked-up by killing enemy who was capturing the point...

You know you get XP from killing enemys, right?

Nug, he means that he got more than 10 xp, and you know you get 10 xp by killing enemies right?

 

 

 

Anyway, this is  not a good idea, Wont it increase drugging thunder,magnum,striker etc always shooting at the point? This will make the game harder for short range turrets. so no

You have no idea how many players in CP just focus on killing players outside the point, and never actually go to the point...

Sorry, Pedro. Your idea is you know, because Fire-Wasp-CP and because it only benefits campers.

Campers in Polygon CP can barely kill players in CP, except for campers with Magnum on the top building. But they're always killed fast with enemies spawning near them.

 

Anyways, this will not benefit only campers. Players that fight around points will get more exp. CP is not only Polygon. Think about big maps with lot of points like Osa, Madness, Lots Temple...

 

You can add another feature to prevent campers for taking advantage of it. In order to get 12 or 13 exp, the enemy and you need to have the CP laser for example. That way, campers will not get extra exp.

Maybe the opposite is better, there shouldn't be extra points and missions for flags, because it is a team effort. If a team prefers to do TDM in CTF then they deserve to lose.

so at polygon CP all i have to do is use magnum or striker... or maybe firebird with m2 alteration and viola!!

and it happens quite often when 90% of my team doesn't even bother to cap points, they just camp to kill. now who would wanna go cap points of they had a higher bounty over their heads if they were to die trying to capture a point.

1. But if it can be abused at Polygon and only Polygon, it will be abused at Polygon, and that is not good.

 

2. Then that will not be fair for the campers and everyone will be doing Fire-Wasp.

One has to think in all aspects to come up with a good idea.

 

Fire-Wasps affect me when those upgraded things come to regular battles with their M2 alteration.

for the island CTF ones, it's only 1 vs 1 so the battle fund doesn't get too high and gold boxes won't fall that often, during the 5x goldbox for summer last week power levelers got so much more bonus from their usual powerleveling. they made battles with 999 flags and no time limit and stopped capturing at 998 flags but continue to kill while enjoying the gold rain. imagine what many of them could do on a big map with many points. 

 

i believe many updates the developers made recently were to reduce mults, i'm just saying they'd have to be crazy to do something like this all of a sudden

 

and i know it's not just polygon, there's alexandrov as well

 

this might be just for my rank but... isn't polygon the most popular CP map ever? that's just what i have observed.

:lol: Do you think developpers thought about all aspects when changing the repair kit? Repair kit is now way better for campers compared to close turrets.

 

It is just impossible to make an update that will make 100% players happy.

1v1 is not really meant for Golds. But just imagine 1v1 wasp fire Island CTF with premium. Each time you kill your friend with the flags, it's 30 experience point. And at the end, funds x2 with premium. Edited by a7x_Pedro48

That is way I reply to Ideas, because devs may say "umm, good idea" without thinking about all aspects.  :P

 

No one says that ideas should make everyone happy.

Not a single idea can make everyone happy. But if more than 50% like the new update, that's good I think.

 

As for this specific idea, it's just an idea for now. It can be much better if we all give our advice and some idea to improve it.

There could be ideas that 90% of players like, increasing the amount of crystals in Gold Boxes for example, that doesn't mean the idea is good.

 

If players like to play TDM in CTF and CP, then they deserve to lose and it is their problem. and that's actually good for those of us who want to do what is needed to win.

 

Yes, sometimes in my team people like to do TDM, but sometimes everyone tries to go for the flag, and they leave our flag unprotected, should we give more points to people who protect the base and flag? No, just like we shouldn't give points to those that get the flag and capture, and just like we shouldn't give points to those that capture point, or kill those capturing points. The rewards should come at the end for the best team.
