Balancing the channels!

My idea refers to the 24 UE channels in tanki! 

I don't understand often Few channels have 20-30 different Maps/Games going, split however between pro/non... and than 20 something channels are EMPTY? 

 

THAN.... On the few full channels, you have so many repeat maps, game types, etc. and yet can't find the map YOU WANT to play. 

 

I think Tanki made a big change a year ago, you could be a non pro, and make your own maps, whatever you want to play in... than suddenly, maybe Jan 2017, you have to be a Pro member to make maps, and suddenly a lot of the maps I like to play in are hardly ever, if NOT EVER seen available!

 

I'd like to see...  sense the system has Premade Maps for us... SPREAD ALL those maps out, through out ALL channels!! As well, subsequently spread the range of those maps out from lower to higher ranks... so in essence, you should be able to find MOST maps available in the range you want, but atleast ALL maps available to you (concerning the maps you are able to access) at any level, available between all 24 channels... So this would spread out the users! Not all the users would gather on channels 22-24 or 9-10, or where ever... but many spread out on ALL channels..

 

THIS would also help the Servers NO? 

 

So channels UE 1-5 could be 5-10 different maps all spread different levels... 

UE 6-10 would be 5-10 different maps (maybe the same as 1-5) but spread out with different ranks access... 

etc...

 

So somewhere on channels 1-5, I could find Brest with a lot of ranks higher than me... 

but 6-10 could have Brest with ranks closer to me?? 

11-15 would have brest with lots ranks lower than me... Etc... but balance,

 

THE IDEA, Include every map available somewhere with variety of ranks for each map!! 

 

PLEASE....

The reason why some servers have more battles than others is because different servers are assigned to different ranks. So while you can go to any server and play battles there, the majority of your battles will be on one or two servers.

 

As for the second part of your idea, it won't work. First of all, spreading maps across all servers will result in players getting spread out, which makes it nearly impossible to have enough people join the same map to have a decent battle. And while I understand that you want a variety of maps, most players prefer only 3 or 4 different maps (Polygon, Silence, Sandbox, etc.) and they will only play there. That's why you see so many duplicate maps in the battle list.

 

The Matchmaking system will make this situation much better, with 10v10 battles being made automatically by the MM system, while players can create their own games with custom settings in the battle list.

Players tend to congregate together, usually at the times I play you'll find, 5, 7, 8 and maybe 9 busy.  Over the course of the night that shifts a bit, 7 usually seems to empty out in favour of 8.  I usually go straight to 5 because most of the regulars I play with are there, we know where to find each other.
