Ideas for Paints!

You're rather late with this suggestion. Many people already expressed their concerns regarding exclusive paints in containers back when containers were just introduced - almost 2 years ago. Developers clearly state that they no longer wish to keep any cosmetic items exclusive forever, and everything will (or might) be possible to obtain at a later date. This helps the economy and allows for fewer P2W elements to be added.

I don't understand. Exclusivity should be something that exists within cosmetics, it doesn't harm balance considering the separation of protection from paints. If anything, I think exclusive cosmetics is an opportunity for the developers not a hindrance.

The fact that previously exclusive paints are being recycled is more alarming than anything. It gives the impression that ideas for new paints are running low. I've always entertained the idea of creating paints for the game, having used to frequently draw my ideas down on paper, but I don't know if that ambition could ever amount to anything.

I'd love to help, I really would. But I don't know where to start, or if it's unrealistic to even ask. So many ideas, so little possibility.

It's just a paint. And an ugly one as well.

I like it. It almost looks like a chalkboard.

But I agree, it doesn't seem right to have a "souvenir" paint in Containers. It should be as rare as Traceur. Also, Shop Bundles paints are not available in Containers.

Well, it appears they determined that giving players opportunity to get exclusive cosmetics of the past brings more revenue than actual fully exclusive limited edition items.

I'm just going to assume everything you say is sarcastic. You seem like that kind of person.

Recycling old assets to make money off of them over and over again isn't good for the game, it's a red flag. It's a telltale sign of stagnation.

Nowhere near as much passion is placed into this game by the developers now as before.

Moonwalker isn't just a paint; for those in 2013, it's a wonderful reminder of something they love.

By having it in containers, you're literally stripping it of its identity. It's no longer a sweet reminder of an old, beloved map. It's just another one of countless paints you can get with real money.

On my first account, I got my first gold box on Moonsilence, mourned when its removal was announced, and ground like hell for crystals to get Moonwalker because I thought I was going to get something truly special to remember a map that we all loved.

In this case no, I'm not being sarcastic.

Tanki Online is on the decline, and no one is denying that. Recycling old content is a good way to generate some revenue while focusing work efforts on more important things like server maintenance and important updates. Yes, I'm sure that Moonwalker has a lot of sentimental value for the old players, but how many of those players are left anyway? That's why I'm saying that devs most likely determined that there are a lot more players willing to buy containers for a chance to get an old exclusive item they never had the chance to obtain, than the number of old veterans, who would be upset about losing the exclusivity of that item.

Fair enough, but is it to much to ask that the 2013 Moonwalker paint is in some way distinguishable?

Like change the Moonwalker in the shop enough so that it's noticeably different from the 2013 Moonwalker.

If you remove Moonwalker, you'll have to remove Eternity as well. It was available on Halloween 2015, and it was added back into containers.

Not really. The key difference between Moonwalker and a paint like Eternity is that Halloween is something that's annual. It's not every year that Moonsilence is removed from game.

Moonwalker is unique in the fact that it commemorates a one time event, not something recurrent. That means it makes far less sense for Moonwalker to be in containers than a paint that celebrates Halloween...

What I don't like about the moonwalker paint is that it commemorated to one of the most exploitative maps in the game.

It's commemorating a beloved map that was unfortunately removed because it was exploited. It isn't commemorating the fact that it was exploited.

Removing it now isn't going to help. It's now probably owned by so many players that weren't even playing when Moon Silence was introduced. What old players can only do is remember that they got the paint from that particular event.

Although I do agree that people playing since a long time ago deserve some recognition.

Opportunity to buy animation for regular paints

Ever since Tanki brang animated paints to the game more and more players give up the regular ones which we used to play with for the most of our career. So with this opportunity, we can "upgrade" them by buying animation for some amount of crystals. This will make the game more colourful and bring the old paints back to life.

Great idea but I doubt them being up-gradable with crystals only is not gonna be something that will happen.   Nevertheless, will forward it.
