Magnum - Change to Angle from 10% to 20% After Respawn

Recommended Posts

Yesterday on the 15 August 2017 I played a few rounds on the Desert map using Magnum and had the idea to set it at an angle of 20% degree angle instead of the default 10% angle. I have noticed that Magnum shell hitting enemies at an angle of 20% does more damage than it does with 10%.

By playing on the Desert map and setting the angle of Magnum to 20%, I have managed to earn an average number of kills of 20 to 25 kills per 15 minute round. I was playing DM battles on the Desert map.

The Desert map is the best map for Magnum because it is flat, and it makes Magnum players take shots easier without missing their target. We should have more maps designed like Desert.

My suggestion is to have the Magnum angle to be set as default to 20% degree angle when players respawn. By having Magnum's default angle after respawn set to 20%, will reduce the chances of self-damage and self-destruct.

I have witnessed that most Magnum players don't rotate their turret up or down. Instead, most players prefer to keep the default angle set at 10% after respawn. That is a problem because when you quickly press the spacebar on your keyboard to immediately fire a shell, you take self-damage or self-destruct.

The developers must agree with my suggestion on Magnum and change it default degree angle from 10% to 20% when players respawn. That would make Magnum slightly easier to use, and players will not suffer with self-damage or self-destruct.

You can clearly see what I mean. The degree angle of the Magnum turret is displayed on the left marker. The left marker angle of Magnum must be reset to 20% degrees when players respawn after death, even if players change the degree angle (%) above or below 20% degrees.

Be assured that the angle at which you fire your Magnum does not change the damage your shell will do. The damage is a random number between max and min damage; and if you do not land a direct hit, the splash damage is reduced linearly over the distance in it's specified limits/borders.

Valid

But still it might be more useful to have the default-angle at 20 degrees, if this is would be closer to the angles that Magnums use most often. So it's up to a discussion on what the other Magnum players think.

I don't really care about the initial angle, since I instantly change it to what I need based on the situation. But my most "optimal" angle is 37 degrees. I think it should initially be set at 45, since that's the middle value, therefore it's equally "far" from the minimum and maximum value. Just like the other turrets' forward-facing position is halfway between full left and full right.

There is nothing wrong with a 20% degree angle. Magnum would be better suited at a default 20% degree angle when players respawn. Today, I have played a few battles with my Magnum set at 20% degrees and my shots land at a safe distance so I do not self-destruct.

The current default 10% degree angle is too low, so when a shot is fired, it causes self-destruct because the splash damage of the shell fragments hit too close to the player that fired the shot.

My suggestion is to have the developers change the angle of Magnum to 20% degrees, so when players fire a shell by quickly pressing the spacebar, players don't receive self-destruct penalties by the fragments of the splash damage.

The 20% default setting for Magnum players on respawn makes more sense. In real life, such a turret like Magnum would have its angle set to 20% degrees to avoid self damage.

I disagree. I am a magnum user and it only takes a second to change it from 10% to 20% so this will just be wasting the devs time.

I know that you can always adjust the degree angle position of Magnum, but it wastes time. In 1 to 3 seconds, enemy players can still kill you. By setting the default value of the Magnum to 20% degree angle, that makes the angle set to a correct balance between distance and power when pressing the spacebar. At a distance of 10 meters, you can kill your enemy target without receiving damage or self-destruct.

I think it should be set initially set to 90 degrees, then it would be really far farm the minimum value :P

lol

I know that it takes a few seconds to change it, but personally, I like the idea and for me the 20% angle suits more.
