Having to Pay fee for leaving battle early

This idea of mine is to stop players from leaving battles early. I've noticed many players in team battles leave if their team is losing. This is unfair to both the winning team and the remaining players of the losing team, who bravely decided to see the battle through. So when you leave a NON-PRO team battle you should have to pay a small fee:

The prices must be expensive and have to go up, each person that leaves a battle is causing the battle to be one-sided. Especially in higher ranks a player leaving can have drastic effects, but when half the team leaves it's game over. 
However the crystals paid wouldn't be wasted, as they'd go to the losing team's battle fund, meaning even the losing team can still get some crystals.

I've a couple of questions:

- it is very common to join a battle and check out the gear.. to see that there are 2 underequipped players on my team while the other team is full of M4s. Do you like to punish players for leaving right away, instead of wasting their time and collecting deaths?

- this will kill 50% of the invite usage.. because if a friend invites me, and I do not like the battle anyways.. I switch to him. Not after your feature is here.

- Soon this is no issue for regular battles anymore, as the matchmaking fills empty slots. So it's ment to be a pro feature?

 

Imho the fee's must be much less; so it is just an inconvinience but no big financial drawback (leaving 10 times early as gismo costs as much as a single MU step around 8/20 on an M3). Please especially rethink the low-rank fee's - best you compare the turret's prices to make them fit.

 

Can you see another way to motivate players to stick until the end, instead of charging them for a quick leave?

Something that feels more like a bonus instead of a punishment - and is not prone to power leveling or crystal farming?

They get banned from joining a battle for an hour or day, etc. 

But what about Recruits they get 250 crystals in the start and then use it to buy something because they don't know that if u try to leave then u might need to Pay fee for that and then they will get a free one day ban from battles.

You're right, but I meant it for normal battles, not PRO. So Power-levellers will have no power against the system. 

As for collecting deaths...   ..... I do think players should stay, mostly because you see many players do a mission and then leave, that's not ok. And yeah if you join a battle then you have no right to leave until it's over, especially when somebody else could've joined and made the team win. 

As for the prices, I said them like that to discourage players from leaving.

But I guess, another motivator could be, you don't finish your daily mission until the battle's over, or any EXP earned from the battle will be lost along with your battle fund. I can't think of any positives apart from the battle fund, but that doesn't seem to motivate people :(

The news thing can tell them. And anyways, recruits don't stay the same rank for long, as you can level up pretty fast. Leaving will still cause a disruption to the battle despite rank.

Banned from joining for a day! Dude! And 2000 crystals to leave a battle... This is way too much.

 

Besides, if I join a lame one sided battle and I can't leave, I will just go in pause and wait the end of the battle.

Terrible. I want to leave and I don't want to pay=> I'll just press the pause button without having to spend any crystals and I'll get kicked automatically. I lose time, my team loses a player => everybody loses.

Pretty sure devs said no about this. They want to discourage players from leaving battles (the removal of the missions button was done to do this), but not penalise players for it.

Oh wow! If this idea every gets implemented the game would be dead. Plus you could just pause and wait for it to finish or just close the tab and re enter the game.

 

What's the problem with leaving battles. 2000 crystals to leave a battle????? It takes nearly 3 battles to get 2000 crystals!!!!!

a player could just pause and wait what do u say to that

It's also, unfair joining a battle, taking up a space if you aren't going to stay the whole battle. My advice, join a battle that's almost finished and leave at the end. 

 


 

Banned from joining for a day! Dude! And 2000 crystals to leave a battle... This is way too much.

 

Besides, if I join a lame one sided battle and I can't leave, I will just go in pause and wait the end of the battle.

This idea is to STOP any one-sided battles. And if you press pause and leave like that the crystals will just automatically be taken from your account, or the ban thing. So your point would be irrelevant if this was here cause nobody would leave = no one sided teams, and if people still leave, you get more battle fund (read everything of my idea). Crystals of people that leave go to the losing team's battle fund. :)

This would cause more multing.

 

Which is why crystals should be taken from your account, or you get banned for leaving battle if you mult and pause. (I prefer the ban thing)

A one-sided war is no longer a war. When players leave, they pay the remaining players, as the crystals go to the losing team's battle fund. After all, they're mostly hurting their own team (usually being the losing) when they leave. This cannot continue.

Battle funds are very high in higher ranks, M3s/M4s cost 400k. Suddenly 2k is bad? The crystals would go to the losing team's battle fund anyway, so...   And if you're gonna leave a battle early then join a late battle, don't join a battle that's just started. That's unfair to the people on your team.  :angry: 


 

Let me just press pause or get kicked for inactivity then. Why is it even under review. :lol:

Banning for something legal. Nice going there.

It's legal, until Tanki makes it Illegal, which btw, they can and all players have to agree (we all signed the same thing when creating our account)

When new rules are added, players need to resign them. Making leaving a battle before time finishes illegal, would be more than a ridiculous thing to do.

i like his idea of penalizing people for leaving but i feel this wouldn't affect buyers because they can just buy all the crystals they need. How about if you leave you won't be able to join another battle until that battle you just left ends. He said tis is for non pro battles so you can't have to wait more than 15 minutes.

And in this case, you can say bye bye to tanki.

How about if you leave you won't be able to join another battle until that battle you just left ends. He said tis is for non pro battles so you can't have to wait more than 15 minutes.

Maybe not but it would mean increased battle fund for the losing team. But I like yours to. If players leave to often, then they should just be banned from battles, or if they get kicked due to inactivity (the pause button).

So you think you'll have a bigger chance of winning when you oblige players to pay for leaving a battle. If a player decides to leave, he has lost hope in the battle, so he won't be of any value for your team as he will not even try to win anymore.

 

Also, I'm not gonna pay for leaving a battle when I all of a sudden need to do something in real life.

 

Another point, 2 of the battles you're showing have just started. It's no surprising that one team has more players than the other as players are still joining. As for the other 2 battles, I see 3 flags captured in 5 minutes 20 seconds and 4 flags captured in 6 minutes 9 seconds. These are highly unbalanced teams, hence you'll be better of if new players can join. The team you had would not have made it to a win anyways. It's a waste of time to stay there.

 

I usually highly agree on the ideas being put 'under review', except for this one.

Computer crashes, internet connection lost due to problems inside the company providing internet, electricity falls out, or simply a pretty bad internet connection at peek times to name a few things that surpass the 2 minutes limit.

 

I've experienced all 4 things I have mentioned above, more than once.

Simple. Don't join the battle if you're going to leave. And if you still join and decide to leave, pay the fine. Otherwise join a late battle that's already begun. And hope wouldn't be lost in the majority of battles if people would stop leaving. At least now the losing team gets something too if somebody decides to leave.

Then the chances of that are very slim, but not impossible. If power outage happens, then you get temporarily banned from battles. Yes it's bad on you, but could also be bad for your team. Somebody could literally just exit the game or by closing the browser/client. Some punishment has to still be made.
