Having to Pay fee for leaving battle early

i think not being able to join other battles until the battle you left ends solves all the problems these people are quoting. if you have to leave because of real life stuff like power outage then not being able yo join until that battle ends shpuldnt affect you at all! and if you get disconnected then you should be able to re join the battle you left, but only that one. anyway you'd be automatically re entered if you re connect within 2 minutes, and if you take longer than that you wont have to wait much longer until your battle ends, because non pro battles arent gonna last more than 10 minutes

What if the battle ends 2 in 2 minutes, or a few seconds because of people leaving (Auto end thing..) Players should still pay fine or get banned from battles. Like an hour or a day, etc. Not just 15 minutes.

Simple. Don't join the battle if you're going to leave. And if you still join and decide to leave, pay the fine. Otherwise join a late battle that's already begun. And hope wouldn't be lost in the majority of battles if people would stop leaving. At least now the losing team gets something too if somebody decides to leave.

I'm speaking of unexpected calls in real life. Calls as in things you need to leave for, not phone calls just to make sure I don't get a useless answer back.

^From my experience in the game, I can tell you it's the complete other way around. Seriously, what you're stating about 'the majority of battles' doesn't make sense at all. Players do leave because they lost hope in the battle and they won't do any efforts for the team anymore. (give me 3 other reasons, perhaps I'm missing some) With your idea, they'll just be driving around doing nothing that can bring your team to victory, waiting for the timer to hit zero. This is no encouragement at all.

I've a couple of questions:

- it is very common to join a battle and check out the gear.. to see that there are 2 underequipped players on my team while the other team is full of M4s. Do you like to punish players for leaving right away, instead of wasting their time and collecting deaths?

- this will kill 50% of the invite usage.. because if a friend invites me, and I do not like the battle anyways.. I switch to him. Not after your feature is here.

- Soon this is no issue for regular battles anymore, as the matchmaking fills empty slots. So it's ment to be a pro feature?

 

Imho the fee's must be much less; so it is just an inconvinience but no big financial drawback (leaving 10 times early as gismo costs as much as a single MU step around 8/20 on an M3). Please especially rethink the low-rank fee's - best you compare the turret's prices to make them fit.

 

Can you see another way to motivate players to stick until the end, instead of charging them for a quick leave?

Something that feels more like a bonus instead of a punishment - and is not prone to power leveling or crystal farming?

You noob mod if it was maf he would've declined it.

true. so those who cause a battle to end early would get a ban that would last as long as(or you could make it double or triple of) the amount of time that got cut from that battle because of them.

You're selectively reading parts of my answers I see. I even explained the word 'calls' in my answer. The word unexpected is crucial. I'm afraid you missed that looking at your answer. I'm don't have any intensions to attack. I'm giving my opinion on why I find it a pretty bad feature.

They are attacking you because it is a terrible idea.

This idea is to STOP any one-sided battles. And if you press pause and leave like that the crystals will just automatically be taken from your account, or the ban thing. So your point would be irrelevant if this was here cause nobody would leave = no one sided teams, and if people still leave, you get more battle fund (read everything of my idea). Crystals of people that leave go to the losing team's battle fund. :)

My point is not irrelevant. One sided battles can be 10v10 with all the Legends in the same team and lowers ranks/mults on the other team. If i join the team number 2, I can't change anything, especially if the score is already 6-0 in CTF or 70-15 in CP.

 

Btw, I would press pause every 2 minutes and wait for the end of the battle. It benefits to nobody.

Actually i really like the idea of penalizing people who leave. i just dont like it when i finally manage to smash a buyer but then he leaves before his kd gets too bad. Fining them crystals isnt going to deter them, these people have literally paid money to feel better than others in the game. They certaintly would not mind paying to avoid getting beaten.

It's not a big issue, don't get angry over a video game. You need to learn how to think of ideas the proper way, not just this random stuff. And what if your team sucks and you didn't know that before you joined the battle?

I suspect the answer will be... "you need to stay and take it" aka the "punching-bag-trap".

 

Currently with no MM... what if... you have mults on your team? stay-die-spawn-die-spawn.. etc?  LOL

 

When MM comes back... what if...

- I get placed in a battle with 3 min left and my mission is earn ### crystals.  There's a waste of 3 min.

- I go to the garage and... Get Timed Out.. happens

- I don't like my team ... language/attitude/equipment/etc  ...

I get the intention behind this idea, but this idea is the worst way the devs may take. Probably it will not be implemented, I hope developers find a better solution.

This is absolutely the worse idea. Apparently, you don't live alone with real life interruptions. I do. If the doorbell rings, do I ignore it or go answer it and pay the fine.

 

If the phone rings and it's important business or even a family member. Do I say, "I'll call you back as soon as I'm done with this battle."....."Yeah, I'm playing this game called tankionline.com. If I leave the battle early, I'll have to pay a fine." 

 

I'll have my family mad at me, I may lose customers (I work for a Company that allows me to work from home), or I may get fired. Obviously, you were thinking of yourself and not how this suggestion would affect the Community. 

 

I'm not a buyer, so I cherish every crystal I can get. If this were to be implemented, I know for darn sure tanki would have one less player plus all my other accounts.

OK I checked this idea and it's confirmed - devs will never implement a "deserter" penalty. At least it won't ever be an actual immediate crystal fine.

Guess uneven battles are the answer. :(

I also think battles have never been as unbalanced before as they are now, but your idea wouldn't do anything to the balance I'm afraid.

If my team is losing and there is no hope for recovery, why should I stay? To get 50 crystals or even less? To help build the battle fund for the winning team? Certainly not much incentive for me to stay.

The news thing can tell them. And anyways, recruits don't stay the same rank for long, as you can level up pretty fast. Leaving will still cause a disruption to the battle despite rank.
