We don't want to restrict any forum features with a pay wall. If reputation gets added, it will be for everyone. And I'm pretty sure this will be implemented once this forum upgrades to the better forum engine.

why would anyone pay to just to rep some total stranger you meet here?

why would anyone pay just to change the looks of a virtual tank, or pay to make one virtual tank more likely to kill other virtual tanks, or for an animation of a box to fall from the sky so some random people can catch it

The forum is a place for discussions and it must be completely free .-.

Reputation will be implemented with the another forum engine and players will be able to give only positive reputation.

...which was abused to bully users by mass-disliking their posts for no reason.

And? If someone just dislikes everyones posts, it loses all its value. How is it any different from mass liking posts for no reason? Their reasoning for it was so people had to say what they didnt like about a post, why shouldnt you have to tell someone what you like?

Because when you "like" something, it means that you agree with it or admire it and everything is good - the receiver of your "like" is happy. But when you dislike it and don't put a reason, the receiver will be in an uncomfortable position where they got a negative response but no way to know what was wrong about what they posted. Forcing people to reply instead of leaving a dislike generates more constructive criticism, which is far more useful than a dislike.

And what about likes? If someone likes something, the poster will assume its perfect. Constructive criticism is always a good thing, but removing dislikes doesnt help at all.

Well, you're entitled to that opinion, but devs already made their decision and most players seem to agree with it. I'm afraid you're a minority.
