@CooperO has redirected players to the Help Site in the only topic that's currently in the P&S section. If you go to the Game Violations section, it's clearly mentioned in the section rules that mods will not deal with chat violations anymore.

There are adequate clear directions to the helpsite, firstly its in the top bar and has the same visibility as the forum. For those who are used to coming to the forum for thier problems are directed towards this topic which in turn guides to the helpsite.

And finally; if they still create a topic on the forum that topic will be closed with clear directions to the helpsite.

The closure of the chat violations section would inevitably cause players to continue to post chat violations in the game violation section, this was completely expected and hasn't caused much issue. We are still in the transition period and it only a matter of time before players learn not to post chat reports.

The reason why we had to close the P&S is that, help site is the most suitable place for resolving any problems with the game, all the information regarding the issue or guidelines are in the help site and therefore it's best to send all the players there, even when we had P&S section open, we had to direct players to help site, such as for nickname change, or "I was blocked in the game, what to do?" etc., all those information are on help site, so, it is like double work for players, creating topic in P&S and then we direct them to another site where it explains everything regrading your questions or issue, it was just wastes players time and instead of this we rather close P&S and send all players to the help site, so that they can get special help from our special moderators, a.k.a. consultants. Yes, I do know and understand that players are still creating topic all over the forum now, it's just that players need to read the "Important" warning/notice part in any section and that is what we are lacking from every section, but no worries, players will get used to it and each time we direct them to the help site, they will know where they need to go next time. :)

mmm, we have this problem since day one, nothing new xD. I remember when we had "chat violators" section open, some players were still reporting in Game violators section. Like I said earlier, it's just that players need to start reading the important parts or the warnings, and we are lacking that from all sections. The game violators are going to decline the reports anyway, so, players are just wasting their time. Also, I'm sure some players are reporting on purpose, even after knowing that we do not accept chat reports anymore, they are just trying so hard to get their enemy banned, which is not going to happen. Well, now it's up to them whether they want to waste their time or add the violator to ignore list. ;)

New players go to the EULA and Rules, see those two walls of text and say ..., I ain't readin' all that." Then go directly to the tutorial. When they get banned for a violation, they wonder why.

 

Some Kids are brought up to obey the rules of life, school, etc. But they come to a game site and don't think those rules still apply.

 

Some have the idea that rules apply to everyone else but them. Unfortunately, this train of thought is carried on into adulthood.

 

As long as people feel as though they can get away with it, they will break the rules. It's a challenge, a game, a dare, trodding into the unknown to see how far they can go. There are a few players who boast how many times they have been banned. They just make up another account and try it again.

Sorry, I was only quoting what I have read in the lobby chat and have heard in reality. I will refrain from making such quotes in the future. Instead, I will paraphrase. Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa, Mea Maxima Culpa. I don't not use that kind of language in game forums nor in real life. 

 

Maybe I should have said, I have read in lobby chat and in real life players saying...I ain't going to read all that stuff, because that stuff is not good stuff to read. Which is no longer a quote and doesn't get the real feeling and point across concerning the player's frame of mind.

Maybe it was because players were more used to it in the forum. But, the forum isn't the right place for solving technical issues, the main purpose of the forum is to discuss, communicate and share fun stuffs. The forum is where you can enjoy/ relax after some battles or when you are bored after some long battle, etc.

 

Also, when you have a problem in the game and the forum is down for some reason, where are you going to report your issue?, that's why tanki online has alternative site so that our players can get help when the forum is down. Moreover, tanki online actually pays real money for help site. I know the forum is useful and we are reporting our issue/ visiting here since day one, but to be honest, help site is the best place to solve any technical issue once you get used to it. Plus you will find more useful after using couple of times.
