The Failure and Death of Tanki Online

I don't think you understand. You get paid for views ONLY if you have an ad on your video. Where do you think the money comes from? Youtube decides to give channels money just because their videos were watched? You get copyrighted not because you earn money, it's because you're breaking copyright laws. Did you even read the article you gave me?

Just ignore him, he's being arrogant lol.

Nice article :D Put it in the Amateur Writing Section  I doubt twee will approve it though, he doesn't want to be sacked by Flexoo :D

Ok sure, TO is dying, but you might be able to keep it alive by continuing those 10k events :)? :P

By late March, Semyon Kirov had left Tanki in the hands of Cedric Debono, a tragic day indeed.

Nope, Seymon had left the EN Community manager role to Cedric Debono. CM do not own Tanki.

Good read, i love drama.

It's a shame you don't have the graph of the 250k daily log.

Let's give this game we love a peaceful, quick death. Let's not have Tanki be doomed to a slow, painful death by horrible updates and greedy developers. Let's give this game the closure it deserves.

I nearly cried while reading over this, superbly written. I joined this game the same time you did so I can sympathise with you on this. However, I owe Tanki more than just entertainment for it has helped me grow during my childhood days. That is why I will stick with this game till the very end. And when the final day arrives, I will look it with eyes swelled up reliving past memories but boldly shutting down my PC and move on in life.

ANG-

Good, if dramatic, post. I've been here almost as long as you have.

For me the turning point was the Paint Separation update. That was the first time I ever saw "Chat Stopped" in the game. What impacted me about this update was that separating paints from protections was the right thing to do, yet the execution was handled very badly.

As much as you might disagree with certain updates, tanki developers have said repeatedly that there was a long plateau where there were almost no updates, and then they decided to do a massive overhaul and work to another plateau that had more dynamic interesting gameplay and was alot more entertaining. The time during the overhaul in the middle is the hard part and that time is now. The only bad update is missions only being completable in non pro battles. All the other updates you just don't like because they havent had follow up updates to work with yet. Don't fall into the illusion that your quitting actually makes a difference.

Your history of TO was interesting but the end bit? Seriously?

Anyway, before we declare Tanki apocalypse let's consider some other games.

First things first, here are the popularity charts for Tanki Online in ... English ...:

A little humor. I filtered that on the US of A over here and got state data.

Who the heck has a gazillion alt accounts in Iowa and Arkansas? I mean, the population of those states is very low compared to others, and they lead the other 48 by a huge margin.

Maybe Tanki needs an event in Des Moines or Little Rock...

It seems filters are extremely unreliable. Here's one for Alaska:

Apparently Tanki Online was super popular before it even came out?
