Yeah look in a game that is Crush Kill and Destroy you're right gifts are both pointless and useless.  But, sometimes its nice to either receive one out of the blue, for something you've done, that you didn't even know you were doing.  I spend 95% of my time saving crystals, but when there's odd gifts to be had, I'll buy them for the clan, just says thanks, you're good guys I appreciate it. Last christmas I sent everyone a pair of socks with the message "to keep your tootsies warm in your tank"  cause that's the sort of things, your dodgy old Aunt and Uncle do. It just makes the game that little bit a happier place, and makes it go round that much more nicely.

Sometimes the teddy isn't the most appropriate though.  For the girl that rips the enemy to shred and does it her way the teddy doesn't seem quite right. :)

I get your point there, but you can just send them the "BRO" gift instead the meaning behind it doesn't really matter as long as you intended to send it to them as they've worked hard while playing and played like a real pro that's it.
