Declined Battle setting: allow spectators

Spectator mode is not free for everyone to use because it can be abused in battles to see health of enemies etc... That's a bad way of dealing with this problem because it includes making spectator mode inaccessible to almost everyone, and adding extra work for the community manager.

 

Here's a quick fix: make an option to enable spectators in the battle creation menu (off by default) so players won't be able to spectate battles unless the battle was made especially for them, and players won't join such battles if they have any problem with spectators watching them.

 

The special spectator accounts will still be used but only for players that need the ability to join battles where other spectators are not allowed (streamers, mods, event recorders). That means much less work for managing spectator accounts.

 

It solves the spectator abuse problem, makes spectator mode accessible for everyone, and it's not even that much work for the developers. So, why not? And yeah, Tanki X is doing great so far with spectators being available for everyone, so I'd say it's worth a shot here too.

Sorry, spectator mode isn't planned to ever be made publicly available in Tanki Online for various technical and other reasons. It's already a public feature in Tanki X, however.
