Add clan chat in battle. You can scroll through it like team/clan/everyone chat, with tab button.

If this idea will be implemented, it will only distract players from playing the battle and might even increase  mults in battles. There is a simple solution to this idea, want to talk with your Clan mates? Simply go out of the battle and you will be able to do so right away. Battles are meant to be played, not for chatting other Clan mates. If you still remember, the crystals that were dropping in the battles were removed because of a similar problem to the one you are suggesting now, they were removed because it ''distract'' players from playing the battle and they mainly focused on those crystals. This is one is not the same but the 2 do have something in common which is the distract part since talking with Clan mates that are not even in the battle with you won't improve anything both for your team mates as well as the enemy team.

Just use Skype or an external form of communication ...
