Will big Weekly Mission Chain bonuses be ending soon?

Drugs are now an integrated part of Tanki.  ...not like it was several months ago when you would still be called "noob" or drugger"  if you popped a repair kit just before the annoying Firebird fried you.  The Weekly Mission Chain bonuses made drugging  more common place since EVERYONE had lots more drugs to use.  They are sitting there at the bottom of your screen lighting up and beeping, why not use them...no points awarded for non-drug use.  ...and OverDrug OverDrive got every player more used to playing with drugs whether they were pro or con drug use in battles.  The more you do something the more you will do that something...conditioning.

So as Pavlov feeds his dogs, Tanki has made us all bigger drug users.  I am curious what will happen in a few days when the biggie summer bonuses stop and we go back to normal weekly chain rewards.  Will Tanki continue the bonuses into the fall?

My guess is that it is time for Tanki to start the harvest of what they sewed.  There have to be players that liked using the drugs but now their supply will be gone or at least start to dwindle quickly.  Maybe some of them (a bigger percentage anyway) will start to buy drugs with real money.

Since drugs are something that we all must live with now, I hope Tanki will generate lots of income from drug sales  (as they planned).  Maybe, if they do, they will stop compromising the quality of game-play with constant and  irritating updates.

What do you think will happen?  Will many players leave the game if/when rewards go down?  Will many players start buying drugs from the shop?  Will drug use in battles start to lessen?  How do you see the impact of smaller rewards affecting the game?

After August, there will still be bonuses of course, but certainly much less than what we have now. As for Overdrive, you can play battles without overdrive without PRO pass when Mm comes in. Btw, does anyone have any idea when that's coming? Really curious...

You seem to have a very caustic nature.  Everything you say (at least that I have read) is insulting.  I don't like being insulted.  I don't like your posts.  This thread was meant to get a bit of a discussion going about the impending demise of the large mission rewards and its impact on the game, but you use it as a way to attack and insult.  Your posts are too irritating to read and they make me angry.

I believe I will see how the ignore works on this forum.  I hope I never have to see one of your posts again.  I wish you the very best of luck in the game and in your life.  I truly hope you can quell your demons.

I'm just trying tomake some sense out of what you have been saying okay. yes i am being insulting here, because you generalized that everyone, pro or con drug, has gotten used to druging. sorry, there are still some of us who still haven't used a single drug from the chains. we don't simply cry about drugers because we don't have as much drugs to use as they do.

Hi

On top right of your forum screen you should see your username "ByeByeBye".

Click the down arrow button close to it and then go to "Manage Ignore Prefs."

Then under "Add a new user to your list" add GuidoFawkes.

Tick mark the first 3 columns and hit "Save changes".

In future you will not see his posts on the forum.

It will appear like "This post is hidden because you have chosen to ignore posts by GuidoFawkes

I have several people on the ignore list, and trust me, the forum is a much better place without a few nasty people  :)

Thanks...I did it already.  The forum does seem brighter already :)  Now Guido is just a white band where his posts used to be.

I am continuing my mission chain into this weekend on the off chance that Tanki 'forgets' to roll the rewards back. It's happened before - actually happens a lot. Devs have a lot on their minds right now, and pulling the plug on something relatively innocuous might be easy to overlook.

But, eventually it's done and I'll be done with chain rewards - 3,500 crystals is not worth my time doing crummy daily missions which only reward supplies.

And thank you for the guidance on people to ignore. At first I thought I wouldn't ignore anyone, but on second thought, there is a player or two I could live without ever reading again.

I too am considering a halt to my mission chain.  With MM in the not too distant future, daily missions will become even more of a pain, so maybe stop a little early.  Not being chained to the mission chain would let you pick and choose daily missions that are appealing...no weekly bonus, but lots more time to engage in drug free pro-battles and a mission here and there would still add up.

I like to play with Isida as support, but the daily missions turn me into an attack-sida with all the DM battles.  With the mission chain broken, there would be no need to bother with all the DM battles. If you use up your one choice change and you still have no mission that looks fun, no big deal, just let that days missions slide.

Was thinking the same, however after claiming the weekly reward on Friday, I couldn't even muster enough motivation to go on for another week hoping for a final big reward. Mission chain's now broken and feeling great about it .

Good topic. Having lots of supplies has enabled me to play the game a lot more. The only tanks that can get away with not drugging much are shaft users.

I've amassed quite a lot of supplies and missions are quite generous at legend rank so I should be ok.

Dependence on supplies is one of the reasons why this game is dying.

I wonder if they've tweaked the mission formula.  I'm getting a LOT of DM-type missions - a disproportionate amount.

Will end at 1 sep 02:00 UTC according to the wiki and news on forum.

I'm aware of the plan to roll back. I merely suggest that one more week may be rewarding since the developers have overlooked making these sorts of scheduled changes in the past.

I too look forward to the liberation from the daily mission grind. I'll do missions for crystals, and use my free change out to see if I can get more crystal missions, but I can't see myself doing any more supplies missions - blech

we all wish that developers would listen to us once ... but again they won't ruin the game economy anymore so i guess they wouldn't really intend to give us additional week.

When they instituted the large summer chain rewards, I really felt they had something up their sleeve...I guess I am a paranoid conspiracy nut, but I really think they gave all the supplies and crystals to motivate players to use more supplies.  They stop the special summer rewards as they honestly said they would, and in a month or two people start to run out of their summer drugs.  Many players got used to drugging more and like it (it's fun to win), so they turn into buyers to keep winning.  Tanki makes money, the game doesn't fold up, and stays free...good.  We just have to deal with more vicious druggers...so be it.

What I wonder is will it backfire on them.  Several people here seem to be inclined to stop their daily reward chain...me included.  That makes it easy to skip a day, or two, or three without logging in.  This may take a big bite out of the volume of players.  It's 30000 now (approx).  Might players breaking their mission chains knock this volume number down to 25000?...I think it could very well happen...even before the dread MatchMaking system thrashes the already compromised enjoyment of the game and pulls the volume of player to a dangerously low level.

So maybe they already did compromise the game economy buy giving us so much and then (probably) stopping the largesse tomorrow.  Time will tell!

As far as DM mode. Repair kits and overdrive takes ALL the skill and fun out of the game.  Developers are thinking about there pockets instead of keeping it fun. Take repair kits out of DM mode and see what happens. I bet some are going to be buying different hulls, turrets and more upgrades. Still making money. There is no skill in constantly using repair kits or overdrive in DM mode Limiting them in the other battles would make the game alot more competting too.
