Where is Nives online office? I have pm'ed him with no response. Is he going to be non-communicative with HIS community?

Did you message me again? Since I have only 1 PM from you about cheating in the game, and it is answered.

---

My office is being prepared. A lot of questions to sort out, and this topic will be archived.

I think there should be a Question and Answers topic in News and Announcements, where people can post questions and you and helpers post replies. And there you can add the most common Q&As.

There's also a need for a closed topic where you or admins can post those announcements that are not big enough to open a new topic for. Announcements like: "No V-Log this Friday".

And that means there's no need for a "virtual office".

Nives - sorry I did somehow miss your response to my pm and thank you much for the answer. I am glad someone cares.

It happens to the best of us, no worries :)

On some days I answer late, but always do.

Nives, you were offered to be CM here or you applied?

Offered, after several rounds of interviews and tests.

How it usually works in the games industry:

- You begin as a junior community manager on a smaller project, to learn;

- Over the years you gain experience and begin to apply for bigger studios, on your own;

- If you're at least trying you will build up a reputation and a portfolio on what games you worked on;

- 5-7 years in you no longer need to actively seek work, because in Modern Russia the work seeks you  :ph34r:

As far as you know  :ph34r:

Put/Lock some topics in archive, contents in some topics already expired.  :ph34r:

We do this weekly, I give them an extra one before the archive.

Personal issues with letting go  :unsure:

What was your job in Tanki before CM?

I didn't work at Tanki before joining as CM.

In 2013 I worked with Alternativa on a special event to support local gamedev, especially Tanki, and share developer knowledge among other studios. It was called GamesNightPerm and I still wear the T-shirt :)

Aah that T-shirt must make you remember the old days. And in the GamesNightPerm, perm is for Perm, Russia?

Yes, it was a series of developer meetups in 2013, beginning of my career in the industry.

Each meetup was to take place in a city and gather local devs to share their experience, but also to invite everyone who wanted to become a developer and learn how games were made.

I worked on GamesNightMoscow, GamesNightSPB, GamesNightKiev and—most importantly—on GamesNightPerm. Every time I would help with different parts of the event, sometimes just booking guests, and in Saint-Petersburg I was literally a bouncer :D

When GamesNightPerm happened, thanks to Alternativa and other local IT companies like Enaza we brought people together for one hell of a night. Some of the tweets are still on my account.

To this day, I remember that night as the pivotal point in many ways.

And this is our shirt, often appearing in Tanki HQ on a random day:

Haha. Your career is exciting. :D  And even the date is printed on that T-shirt :D

Good luck Sergei, may you get even more succeeded in your life! You're hard-working.

I don't know, whenever I remember the old days of my life, this makes me weep slightly..  :unsure: Did this ever happen to you?

Thanks for the well wishes, don't forget about yourself ;)

I never believed life could "fly like this", you know? Always thought I got tons of time left for everything.

Looking back at the last 5 years, and even working on my own stuff now, I swear I blinked and all of it happened  :unsure:

We urgently need a thread here to talk about HTML5.

Players are starting to see it in pilot mode on the production system and threads are starting to spawn like weeds in the Game Discussion area.

Needs to be centralized here within N&A please.

Fair concern, we will handle it soon. HTML5 is still in limited testing, but we're slowly opening it to more people.

Thank you.

Slowly opening? I too have HTML5 link, anybody else who knows the link can open HTML5.

Slowly opening to a wide range of players who just play by going to the website, without the link.

The original intent was to include a limited number of people to not disrupt the game for regular players.
