Non-Pro Battles | Only Allow "Overdrive" For Them As Supplies

Only allow Overdrives in non-pro battles and remove self-bought supplies as an option. Either boxes, or a whole team supplies by a single person's Overdrive. This will make battles more challenging and will move supplies only as a legacy item available in Pro battle's only. Not only this, this will completely solve the buyer--non-buyer issue of one person having thousands of supplies and one person having only ten.

This will also skyrocket the importance of Overdrive since that will be the only way you can use supplies in the battle, but instead of its recharge being so slow, it could be made faster in non-Pro battles only.

There needs to be at least some disbalance between buyers and free players due to the fact that the game can't exist without it. Devs are trying to make supplies easier to obtain and reduce their power (mission rewards increase, mission chain rewards, repair kit and supply nerf are examples of this), but there always needs to be a possibility for a player to not have enough supplies, as it encourages them to spend money to buy more. It simply isn't economically possible to get rid of garage supplies in standard battles.

I hate that there is a balance between buyers and free players. When I was low rank I had to deal with buyers and no one would listen to my complaints but since I have become a buyer Tanki is crumbling. :/ Probably due to my awesome skills within the game. Nice idea Hexed.

Buyers have full m4. There already is a great disbalance because of MUs. What spoils the game the most nowadays are supplies. If you ain't using supplies at a high ranked account against high ranked opponents, you are not worth anything in a battle. Supplies are the main cause of unbalanced battles, and like 3/4th of all battles are highly unbalanced. Sure, they can't simply take away supplies. Problem is that supplies are way too overpowered. Skills are worth nothing nowadays, really nothing. Supplies need to be nerfed heavily, or should be way easier to gain for non-buyers.

From my battle experience when I compare

1) normal battles with Overdrives and supplies

2) pro battles with Overdrives and deactivated supplies and

3) pro battles without Overdrives and without supplies,

I come to the conclusion that the pro battles with activated ODs and deactivated supplies are the type of battles that are usually the most imbalanced of all three. I think the pure OD creates a spiral effect of once dominating always dominating.

Now we know that tanki is a buy to win game

Thing is, unlike some games which are completely P2W, Tanki Online actually allows free players to obtain any item that's useful for gameplay (so XTs and paints don't count). Therefore it's technically possible to compete with buyers and get the same items as they get, but it will be an extremely difficult and time-consuming task. So if you don't want to go through that effort, you are given the option to spend money instead, which saves a lot of time and needless grinding, but doesn't give a blatant advantage, such as a buyer-only turret that deals 50% more damage than normal.
