i think that random number generator has a bug because everytime i enter these contests my name doesnt even come up on the initial screen let alone the prise fund :( i bet if my user name was just RISKY instead of 02Risky i would have been in the list :(

Yeah, I think we all know what gambling is, really... I didn't mean it as the game itself, but the feelings/emotions going hand in hand with it. Hence the reference to 'a dangerous game being played on you' (players, especially kids). Big difference with the ice-tea presents is that those presents don't 'push' you to buy the bottles of ice-tea whereas the possible rewards, the possible jackpots you could win here, sure were an extra stimilans that made players buy crystals who would otherwise not have paid.

 

You definitely also read all reactions from players who bought the bundle but didn't win any 'jackpot'. I'm quite sure these reactions, their emotions, have way more in common to those of gamblers not winning what they hoped for than those of ice-tea buyers who didn't buy the right bottle with the correct code.

Considering the prices you can win by buying some ice tea bottles, it will certainly encourage more people to buy them (car, electric bike, traveler's checks etc.), that is the intention behind it after all. On top of that, you can buy as many bottles as you want. With this bundle, you can only buy it one time (perhaps a few more times if you have several alt accounts, but that won't win you any crystals on your main account). 

The reactions from players that didn't win is understandable, losing isn't fun. Players keep their hopes up and when they don't win, they're disappointed, of course! I really wouldn't compare this reaction to that of gamblers, because their reaction would be to buy more, more, more, try again, again, again (you get the idea). 

If anything, I think this teaches them something. They'll learn to deal with disappointment, learn to spend their money wisely, learn to appreciate it more when luck IS on their side sometime in the future (with whatever it may be).

As for the yellow part, I'm talking about their emotions, their feelings having way more in common to that of a gambler compared to that of an ice-tea-buyer. Hence my good right to make that comparison.

 

As for the green part, this really isn't the place to 'learn how to spend money wisely'. This seems liek a confession to me that TO made misuse of the inability of certain players to spend money wisely, to withstand the temptation, to withstand the dangerous game played on them.

 

Also, they'll face enough disapointment and have already encountered enough disappointment in life to learn what that is. No need to bring money with it at all!

 

As for the red part, the big difference is that the ice-tea-'goodies' have grown-ups as their goal audience. You need to have a certain age in order to even have the chance to win. We are also talking about children here with different brains, a different psychology, way more influencable and such a game should not be played on them!

 

And the blue part, well, once again I'm sure you read all reactions here and there are some players admitting they bought on several accounts, something they'd never do without this 'promotion', this dangerous game played on them. Oooh, and don't think they think about the fact that if their alt wins, they won't get the reward on their main. Seriously...

 

I might be going a bit too harsh over it, but don't take it too light, will you.

but it's not like they lost anything! they were never gonna get anything in the first place. in gambling you spend money to get more money, here you get crystals;;; which aren't real. money was spent on virtual stuff, whether they get nothing or 10 million crystals it doesn't matter because that money spent was basically thrown away.

not all who are here are kids . we all forget when these sales come up there just a way to bring in money for tanki. how they do it nothing new this way of selling things have been around for years .. its more buyers beware and educate our self's more .. so were not caught up into these buying games company's do..

You bought on 3 accounts. You were tricked in doing so. You would not have done that with any other kind of bundle that didn't bring the temptation of a jackpot with it. :p

wait... the money wasn't excatly thrown away.. it helps to finance the game so free players like me can play on for free! now that isn't so bad, isn't it? take the money from the rich and use it for things everyone, rich or poor, can enjoy!
