Better Magnum controls

When holding down space with magnum, instead of the weapon charging up, you could choose the power of your shot. You would be unable to aim your turret while holding space. Instead, you would be choosing the power for your next shot with Z and X. The shot would be released when you release space, same as now. The shot after would have the same power if space was simply pressed, like with the angle for your turret. This would allow for better accuracy. Shot power upon spawning would be 10% like the 10* angle.

Valid

That would make controls extremely annoying for players like me, who often charge up and change angle at the same time. So if you're looking to make the turret more precise, but nerf it to make its controls less agile, then this is a good idea. But most Magnum players will hate it - I guarantee that.

Would be nice to have this available somewhere in the settings, so that we could choose one mode or the other.

Yeah, maybe there should be an "alternate control system" option in settings. And most turrets would get an alternate control system from it. Or maybe even add this... as an alteration?

An option to have the same shoot as the last one will be great, after all that is how real one works. But I would not change the control of it as suggested, it will make it even less usable at most maps.

The "hard controls" (timing of power, no looking around) are intentional things that make magnum "closer to" balanced.

Elsewise a "repeat last shot" button would be another useful thing, that will most likely never come. Or a  circle around your tank, that is printed on the floor and top of the buildings, and that expands while you charge the turret up, so you know the exact range.

I don't like to imagine a Magnum that can hit each point at the map at will at any time it wants to.

I'm suggesting the ability to use the keyboard to tinker with the velocity or power of the magnum's shot power, mainly because it helps to have more precise shots and measurements. The way you charge it up by holding down the fire button makes for quite inaccurate shots at times especially when firing at 55 power will undershoot and 60 will also miss the target for instance on bridges. It also hampers your rate of fire and can lead to mistakes where you have to pay attention to your velocity bar more then the actual shell you're firing. This also makes it easier to tinker a bit more with the velocity to get a good hit if you're seeing that your damage is waning instead of going a whopping 5% more power which may miss the target due to obstacles. If not replacing the charge via trigger can this at least be given a setting or other form of ability to change to a more precise charge mode?

New alteration: High Precision Artillery Cannon

Cost: 20,000 crystals (Because 20,000 crystals for an alteration that simply allows you to manually change the power is ethical)

My only suggestion is that when you use Viking's overdrive, it would make sense for all the shots to fire at the energy level of the most recent shot fired just before pressing shift.

Reason for this being that if you're using an augment which only allows horizontal rotation and not vertical elevation, using Viking's OD only lets you fire either into the opposite end of the map or completely miss everything or fire outside of it, because of the fixed 100% energy level of all shots.
