Declined If a player holds a point for a minute => same EXP as capping it

Pretty basic idea: If I or any of my teammates manage to hold a point for more than a minute, they should earn the same EXP as they would for capturing it.

The abuse potential is too big (get your friend in, cap, sit and wait, move, sit and wait, ..)

You get EXP for "holding" a point in the form of EXP from the kills you get when you fend off opponents trying to take your point. And by simply standing on an already captured point you're not bringing any benefit to your team, so why should it give you score?

Don't points yield the same exp more or less than capping? Or am I still behind in updates.

I have no idea how a person can manage to sit on a point for as long as a minute unless the majority of the enemy team consists of mults or they're power leveling.
