Declined Aircraft version of Tanki

Who would like to play an aircraft dogfight game in a similar style to Tanki?

 

■ A choice of planes (like hulls) and weapon systems (like turrets)

 

■ Simple controls, eg: arrow keys to pitch up and down and to bank left and right, and spacebar to fire weapon

 

■ Planes regenerate on one of several runways on each map

 

■ Maps with various height terrains and features, eg: mountains, valleys, cliffs, skyscrapers, waterways, dams, factories, castles, etc.

 

■ Balloons could mark the boundary of maps, and planes are shot down by anti-aircraft fire if they go beyond the boundary

 

■ Game types: Dogfight (like DM) - Team Dogfight (like TDM) - Capture The Flag (like CTF) - Airbase (destroy the opposition team's runways so they cannot take-off)

 

■ Maybe have the same parachute-box power-ups as in Tanki

 

The map areas would need to be much larger, but I suppose most of the textures could have far less detail.

This idea is way too generic. I can guarantee you that developers considered expanding their game to other types of gameplay, including such elements as planes. However, games with planes and dogfights already exist, so the marked it quite saturated in that sense. The ideas section on this forum is only for ideas regarding improvement of Tanki Online, and since this particular game won't ever have planes, your idea is not applicable.

It is not "generic", it is specific to Tanki's unique type of arcade gameplay.

 

I can guarantee you that developers considered expanding their game to other types of gameplay, including such elements as planes.

But the idea is not to include planes or other types of gameplay in Tanki. The idea is for a new free-to-play MMO game that does with aircraft what Tanki does with tanks. Can you guarantee the developers have considered that?

So what? Lots of games with tanks already exist and yet Tanki X has recently been made. And there are no aircraft MMO games that have the unrealistic arcade style of Tanki.

The idea is for making a new game, not for making changes to Tanki. I posted the idea on here because there is nowhere else to post it. Will you please pass the idea on to the developers for their consideration? If Tanki Online and Tanki X can be so popular then so could an aircraft version of Tanki.  :)

I can. Devs get some of their inspiration by looking at other games, and it's impossible to own such a popular Tank game and not know about other MMO war/battle games, including ones that have planes.

 

 And there are no aircraft MMO games that have the unrealistic arcade style of Tanki.

Guns of Icarus, World of Warplanes, War Thunder, Ace Online, Air Buccaneers, Aces High, etc.

There's nowhere else to post it because this type of idea is simply pointless. Don't get me wrong - I'd love to play a game with planes that has a similar style to Tanki, but it's just pointless to suggest it, since developers will have definitely considered this already. The point of the ideas section is to share original ideas which developers may not have thought of yet, and this idea is not one of them.

I guess if you want such a game you can develop it yourself.
