Kill of the Match

Recommended Posts

Hey Tanki Online Community! I am here to suggest a new feature/idea that could be added to the game. It would make it more interesting and entertaining.

Basically, I think we should add a "Kill of the Match" feature into the end of any game. Since that there is technically the 5-10 seconds on whether you would like to exit or continue the game. I thought we could implement this feature into the few seconds. The Tanki Online System will determine the "Kill Of The Match", maybe the best angled shot, best sniper or something like that. The system will determine it.

This feature will make the game much more fun and enjoyable. Thanks.

Feedback would be appreciated.

Under review

This would be quite interesting thing to compete for many tankers who are playing on the battlefield and more of like a side missions to do, personally it would be a great idea if it gets the chance to be implemented one day but still idea lacks something and it is more like unrealistic.

It's an interesting idea, but I'm pretty sure it's next to impossible to implement exactly how you suggest. What's more probable is a "play of the game" kind of thing, where the game calculates which player made the most kills in, say, 10 seconds, and shows everyone the replay of those 10 seconds. But "kill of the game" is extremely hard to calculate automatically, since the game simply sees that a player shot and killed another player, but there's no way it will be able to tell how impressive or difficult that shot was.

It's pretty hard to decide "Kill of the match" from over 100s of kills, Cause it is really easy to get over 30 kills and for 8 players (lets assume in sandbox) 240 kills in total, you can already tell how could the system catch how to that. Not just that but there are around 1000+ games going on, on each servers. And seeing a kill of the match isn't gonna make much big of a difference. In fact it might only be making people more focused on trying to get the Kill of the match then focusing on the objective of the mode (CP,CTF). And also some people would wanna show their skills and spend the whole game trying to hit that trickshot on a person.

It'll add another reason people mult.

Whilst the idea is rather cliché, it's also interesting. However, completely impossible. Determining a "play of the game" or anything similar, is entirely subjective and purely opinion to each person, let alone a "system."

Yes. I agree with you.

I see. Understood.

I really like this idea. But, the system would be hard to implement though.

Thanks.

Maybe a replay of the best shots made in the battle. I don't know how but would like it. :P

Thanks! I will see.

Nice idea, but It would take some serious programming...

I see.

Yah I know. I just dont know how to word it or make a system that would work.

If anyone that understands my point has a better way to word my idea. You can either reply to me or send a PM to me!

Thanks.

I think most people are understanding your proposal.

Unfortunately it is such a subjective thing and needs "judging" - like Olympic diving - which a computer can't do. "best" has too many variables to quantify for a computer.

It is more applicable to one-off tournaments where there might be judges watching the entire battle and then can render a verdict at end, based on observations.

I understand.

Oh, if only this was added in before I made that hexakill a few months ago with my Magnum...

Cool!

It's a cool idea, but this would require Tanki to be recording every second of every battle, and comparing tons of different angles of the same clip just to see which one qualifies more.  I think this would make the game waaayyy more laggy.
