hunter better not bee seen too early as all those up-powered tanks will waste it quickly before it gets within range.

Exactly.most of  the forum chat and of course that puff piece fluff rag e-magazne talk about the Hunter effect as if the enemy will cooperate with using it on them.  Hell even team mates with the current overdrive do not cooperate in using it.  

 

How often will a Hunter be next to two enemy tanks both fully charged up?  How often will a dictator have two pals near him when they see a star over his tank?

 

I really dont get the point of disabling the drugs of all tanks withing range when you can jusy kill all of them instantly with a nucleur bomb.

 

oh and... when you disable their supplies do mines they have already dropped dissapear? and if they dropped a gold that hasnt been caught does it dissapear? if yes then it'd be more useful than wasp (for trolling), otherwise no.

Good points. But I am almost certain the effect will be to removes the flashing icons above enemy tanks and ma the supply cool-downs.. Things that exist once the timer is pressed the GB and mines will remain.

That's  good example of what not to do. I'm sure there is plenty more.

You should also list the example of what to do in order do maximize the use of one OD.

this game is nothing else but mass hysteria when gold box notification appears (99% of those players IQ is lower then outside temperature in Siberia)

 

ofc,I forgot about "PRO" players with "cool names" which they switch on monthly bases,but chat on EU1 is full of 'em,begging for someone to throw 'em GB,and asking people to play wasp fire :D :D :D because their garages ar on level of aevrage major (rail/hornet is exception ofc)

 

Devs,message for all of you,do us all favor and shut this parody down for once..game is unplayable with all those players who sabotage..

 

and even if mod comes to map,he is eighter stupid or blind..or both..or his/hers friend is saboteur..so he/she doesn't get punished at the end

Very good point. But I think we should be learning how to let it go.

well in higher ranks the Dictators will be able to make use of their OD for the good of their team, as people look out for the starts and mingle around tanks with a full OD waiting to be released.

 

The hunter on the other side will have a hard time to deactivate the supplies of more then one tank.

 

Possible scenarios are PolyCP with the single CP point and if you have to handle that big Mamuth that parks on the enemy flag, covered by an Isida. But of course it depends on the range.

 

 

ps: the more I think about the given OD concepts, the more I wish for other ones. But ok.. at least they can balance them out with different activation & cooldown periods (as Tani proposed) and with the range of the area-effecting ODs.

Only in case the Overdrives are activated... Remember that the MM polygon battles will have 3 CPs to make the fund growth equal to other maps  ;)

Based on the team-mates I luck into since OverDrive has been implemented... that describes EXACTLY what will happen.

 

All they have to do is press the shift key - but even that seems like huge obstacle for many...

The OD is for the new players (and future players), they will be fostered in the new system (Tanki 3).

For the experienced player, the one that played the game for years the Tanki 1, that would be either you like it or you leave or you play pro-battle.

Tanki 1 will be dead soon. Long live Tanki 3.

To the above, I'm looking forward to games where everyone isn't running around with 2 sets of drugs. I'll know better than engage the very few Dictators I see in battle, and for the rest I'll just go back to the midrange play I enjoyed before it became a lost cause.

 

To , we need clarity on when changes are coming! If dates aren't known then at least a lineup / roadmap of the following:

-Matchmaking test

-Hull Overdrives

-HTMl5

-Full Matchmaking

 

See what I mean? You have a lot of irons in the fire right now and players are getting confused.

Well, the new people would know only this OD system and thus should be using it properly.

The experienced players... well they should be using it properly too, being experienced players.

 

Nothing worse than being on a team that does not use the overdrive.  That team has absolutely no chance at all.

 

Once the 3x mission rewards are over - Pro/Custom/whatever-Battles here we come.

this is really sad. i've really been looking forward for matchmaking. i have so many friends who have ranked to legend and i havent been able to play with them for soo long. I can still remember their final days as generalissimos where they would pass me every single flag they managed to steal to avoid earning exp. But ranking was still inevitable as they had to kill to win and they still got 50% of the exp from captures because they were the ones who stole the flag. and when they finally ranked to legend they stayed in the same battle until server restart even if they had to get spawn killed for serveral matches and invite every friend lower than field marshal to play with them for the last time. Matchmaking gave me the chance to finally play with them once more and i'd really cant wait for the next test to happen again.

IDK the mainstream lifespan of a given console is only 2-3 years. If I were a MMO, I wouldn't bother. Mobile is the future.

The ps3 models with backwards compatability can go several years. I had one for SEVEN.

Thought the spread on Legend-created games was 8...  I see Brigadiers in my battles sometimes.

 

FYI... MatchMaking once implemented will have a much narrower rank-spread than we saw in testing. Actually it seemed like there was NO rank-spread during testing = free-for-all.
