Other players receive bonuses from your Premium Account

Just like players have the ability to share the overdrive to their team mates in team battles, I have just come up with a similar idea on sharing premium account in battles. To share premium account time, the player who has premium account activated must be on your team and next to you. Then, the premium account time will be automatically shared to the players which are next to the player who has the premium account.

 

This sounds like a really good idea, but it must be done in a suitable way which will prevent abuse of the premium account. I personally think that having the ability to share premium accounts from team players is a great way on solving the problem with players who are non-buyers and cannot afford to spend real money for such purchase.

 

To avoid abuse of the premium account time, the players that share premiums will give only 10% of shared account time in team battles. That means, for example, if the player who shares the premium account time has 100 days of premium, the other players receiving the shared premium time will only get 10 days of premium time.

 

Maybe, in the near future, developer might consider on adding a premium time overdrive which can be automatically shared when premium account players activate overdrives in team battles.

 

Please tell me what you thing about this suggestion. Is it good or bad? Do you think that an overdrive for premium time will be implemented into the game soon?

I've seen this implemented in other games. It's called something like "network boosters", where one player buys a "booster" and it gives something like 2x experience points to all players in the game or on the server. And the players can in turn "thank" the player who activated the booster to give them extra bonuses, e.g. when someone activates a booster and you thank them (via a command or a button), you get 10 crystals for thanking and the one who activated the booster gets 100 crystals for your thanks. It's an interesting concept.

 

So to summarise, it could be like this:

  1. You buy a "booster" in the Shop for something like $10.
  2. You activate a booster on a particular server, map or game mode. Let's say, all CTF battles.
  3. The booster affects all existing CTF battles and gives players in those battles 2x experience or 2x rewards or something.
  4. You and everyone else can enjoy the bonuses that you activated for an hour (or whatever the time limit will be)
  5. Players can press a button to thank you (only once per booster). They get 10 crystals when they thank you. This could be done like an invitation notification: a window appears with a sound effect and it says "Player Maf activated a booster in your game mode. Press "Thank you" to thank them and receive 10 crystals."
  6. You get 100 crystals for every "thanks" you receive.
  7. Everyone is happy ?

I do believe that it is right to share premium account time from premium players when activating the overdrive. The overdrive should also drop 1 gold box as well as activating 1 unit of each and all other regular supplies.

 

Premium account time is good to share because, it greatly helps players like me who are not buyers, but sharing premium account time from another player must be made accordance so that it does not abuse premium accounts overall.

 

Me too, I have seen features like this on some computer games where one player activates supplies and team members next to that player also receives the supplies as well. This is what I call contagious supplies. Contagious supplies in Tanki Online in team battles is such an amazing feature. In Tanki Online it used to be called "Zero Supply Mode", now renamed to a more formal shortened word "Overdrive".

This idea seems extremely far-fetched, I don't see this idea ever being implemented, the devs would make a huge loss. Tbh they've made enough greedy updates already, they should be able to implement a pro-player update but they most likely won't, I mean, I wouldn't, I wouldn't care about people I don't know, money would be much better.

My idea is not far fetched. The developers can safely consider on making a new overdrive that allows premium players to give their premium time by sharing it to other players. This overdrive will not harm or disturb the economy, but help players who are non-buyers like me.

 

I do see a real potential on having such an overdrive for premium account time as well as having 1 gold box to drop when the player activates his overdrive.

Did you mean, in TDM battles only ???

 

that's gonna be the next noobest update to remove your very own over drive instead of sharing your Premium.

 

Who would be the noobest enough to say "Let's not use over drives in battles, I want to share my $100 Premium amoung player beside I use actual drug over drive.

The fact that some players can't afford Premium is not a "problem". They can't buy it - they don't have it, and that's fine. In fact, they can even get it for free from rare missions or occasional events/contests. It's completely possible to play the game without Premium, so such a feature isn't necessary. All this does is give free players more "freebies" with no benefits to anyone else. Why would a person who bought Premium go and share it with others if he (the buyer) doesn't get anything from that?

 

That's why I proposed another system with a similar concept in my reply. If instead of sharing premium, players could buy "boosters" for everyone to take advantage of, then the developers make profit, the free players get bonuses and the buyers get the same bonuses + extra from receiving "thanks". Like I said, everyone is happy.

If this is only availible in the shop, then everybody is happy. Tanki is happy, because they get more money. Buyers are happy, because using this on a full server can get them even more crystals than with crystal packages. And finally, everybody else is happy, because they can get double funds/EXP or maybe even more chance of Gold Boxes.

Well my idea on sharing premium account time with other players is fine, just like the overdrive. Your suggestion on boosters is good, but boosters must only be available as an overdrive feature that can also be shared as well. There are still many cool and interesting overdrives that the developers can add.
