10% people got it correct (versus above 50% in the last TTC run by Issho, if memory serves right) and you call this 'easy'? I am biting my nails for the difficult stuff.

Issho's original TTC wasn't advertised in game and got around 200 participants. All of which were savvy forum users or FB followers. This time with the challenge being advertised resulting in 800+ entries mostly from normal players who don't have much experience around the Wiki or Forum, hence the lower percentage of correct answers. Thats my take on it.

It doesn't matter which of your accounts you enter so long as you enter only ONE per week.

only reason we need this clarification on it , is cause near the end of the last thinking challenge things were getting changed and I understand both sides, but this does need to be straight forward . so there will be less confusion in the long hall of this contest..

This was pretty easy if you're used to participating in TTC, because you know exactly where to look (Like, for Neon, all the answers are related to helpers. Therefore, go to the paint section in the wiki, then look under "Helper and Developer Paints" and look for a similar paint).

 

EDIT - Have rewards been handed out yet? Just wondering, cuz I'm not sure how many crystals I had.

If you are caught using Alternate Accounts, you will first be formally warned and only one account will be chosen as a winner, then you may be prohibited from further participating if caught again. We are trying to make this contest as fair as possible by rewarding as many people possible, not the same people multiple times, so please, comply with the rules for the common good. :)

see this is unfair for players who have worked hard on these accounts , its not our faults that they only have a limited amount of accounts over the year (s ).. in the past we did have the rights to enter in a limited amount of accounts, well I guess players now will be entering them in in other community's .. which is not against the rules ?

In which case they can wait until next week to enter thier other account. Its perfectly fair.

Why are there quizzes once a week and they close like 18 hours after the start time? That doesn't make sense.

 (  AlternativaPlatform's)  posted.. been here for 4 years and so far never seen any yet..

As Ninja mentioned, Issho had a small player base but majority of them were experienced users familiar with all the game sites. We have decided to tone down on the difficulty due to the small number of correct entrants. Also, if the quiz is still too difficult, we've got a new reward process:

The Top x participants must get the maximum amount of answers correct (eg. in a 12 mark quiz, they must get 12). However, for the Random x winners, I will take the two highest marks into consideration (eg. if there are 50 random winners but only 30 got 12/12, I'll count all the people who got 11/12 into the pool of winners, fair?). Also, everyone in the Random x participants who got full marks will be defaulted as a winner, the remaining slots left will be up for grabs with the second highest scorer.

 

Also, yes, the 40 is intentional, that's what Sergei and I agreed on.

No. If you do, your first submission will be counted and your second will be deleted.

Well, the medium quiz has a significantly higher reward than the easy quiz. Yes, that is how it's supposed to work but the reward increase from "Easy" to "Medium" is rather large, so we reduced the number of winners by 10. Fair?

Yeah, players who are familiar with Game Resources have an advantage, of sorts. You simply need to know where to find information. However, this was an Easy quiz, the Medium/Hard ones won't be so simply to find information.

 

I believe so. Remember that the Easy quiz had rather small rewards, though, so you may not have noticed them. I'll follow up with Sergei anyways.

1) No refund, just rewards. If they haven't arrived yet, be patient.

Not true at all. Both, you and your son can participate, the Rules clearly say "You may participate with ONE and only ONE account." The "you" signifying that I'm talking to one person here. Both, you and your son may participate but only on one account, not multiple. For example, you may participate on one of your accounts and he may participate on one of his accounts. Neither of you may use multiple accounts to participate but you may individually participate.

 

Alternativa didn't make these Rules, I did and they were approved by Sergei, hence making the Rules final. ;)

It makes complete sense. The very fact that the first one got 881 participants proves that. 18 hours in clearly enough time.

I suppose that's understandable. However, among the internal Helper Rules, Helpers are only allowed to participate in a very small number of contests (some including Kill Tier ones) but I made it clear that Helpers will be unable to win any prizes from this contest - on any of their accounts. The entire Riddler team consists of Helpers but discretion will definitely be a priority. I hope that clears up and previous misconceptions you may have had. :)

That's what I thought, there is only a talk about discretion, but there's nothing that prevents leaks from one or more helpers to their friends.

 

PS. This is not personal, you could be the most honest person doing this with the best of intentions.

I can't guarantee discretion, obviously but there's just a level of trust between both parties. To be fair, we don't know that players aren't using multiple accounts to participate but the benefit of doubt is given to them. There's a large trust factor involved.

I feel like you're trying not to understand me now.  :mellow:

It clearly says "You may participate with ONE and only ONE account." Each individual person may participate with only one of their accounts, not multiple. If you and your son wish to participate, you may do so, with one account per person. Do you understand?
