Its only in massive fund battles that a gold can be dropped to distract attention and you will make those 1k crystals back by capping a flag or capping some points, and if you are in a supplies-on game with a massive fund, then the supplies you will have used to get a high score in that battle will counteract the massive reward you will get at the end.

 

If you are in a massive fund no supplies battle, then you wil not be able to use that gold box to divert attention, so the gold cannot be used for strategic puposes. Hence, 15k >10 gold boxes

Who said golds can only be dropped in battles to distract people? Golds can be used for emergencies when u need crystals ASAP, they can also be used in RFG'S, STG'S and what not... When u drop golds you become friends with a lot of people, you can get into a clan by dropping golds and can have lots of fun with golds which you can never do with the direct crystal reward. Your point on massive battles is entirely wrong, in a battle with huge fund only some people go for the gold, others realise that the battle is important and so dropping golds in these battles doesnt always work, it distracts your teammates too. On top of that, most of the battles with big funds are usually no-supplies battles so dropping a gold their isn't possible.

 

Golds are good for rankups, videos and gifting someone crystals too. Therefore 10 golds > 15k crys

For me 10 golds has alot more value than 20K crystals. Fair enough, can't argue with that. 

Events and rankup parties are fun with golds...

20K can easily be earned in 3-4 days but goldbox can't be earned.

I get golds very rarely because I'm a f2p player.Should've played in halloween - I got 72 golds from that event

Dropping golds can get you friends who are likely to drop you golds in return. You may drop 5, but those people may drop you 10 back...
