Yeah, well if you were smart with crystal management you wouldn't need those emergency crystals in the first place. Crystals in the "gold box bank" are worth no more than your actual crystal wallet displayed on the top of the screen. I always plan ahead and manage by crystals but there are a lot of times when you cannot plan everything coming your way, an example of this is a surprise MU sale which you cannot predict and dropping gold worth 10-20k for yourself can save you about 30-40k crys. Some people keep on MU'ing their items irrespective of sale or not, (as its cheaper doing so) and hence are sometime left without enough crystals to make a particular purchase. There are many more examples I can list but you get the point.

 

How is that crystal value in any way? I know I seem selfish but when you are F2P you have to maximise your income in order to survive. Dropping golds for others simply isnt feasible unless you want to be slightly behind all your competitors. Im an F2P player too and I constantly maximize my income by winning forum contests, doing harder missions and playing pro battles and dropping golds for yourself as soon as you get them is not part of it. Look at the bigger picture, you can make good friends who can help you out in battles, emergency situations and save u lots of time and drugs. Befriend a huge buyer by dropping golds for him and you see the benefits. I have experienced all of this first hand and I think of goldboxes as a strategic fund, you think of it as being "part of the crystal wallet on top of the screen". 

 

Dropping golds may be more fun than just getting crystals into your account, but my point was that getting those crystals would be more valuable in terms of progression, not how much fun you can have. Also, that extra 5k could get you a lot of drugs in this sale to destroy ppl in regular battles, which in my opinion is more fun than just watching some golds drop. For my progression I have MU'es and modules so a bit of fun with golds doesnt hurt my progression a lot (btw that extra 5k or 10k crys can get me a max of 200 supplies which get over pretty soon). I play the game for fun too and as an F2P player I dont get to see golds often, so its better that I have fun with them instead of dropping them boringly for myself.

 

How can you say I am wrong when I am expressing my opinion? I am never wrong, but I am also never right. Called an opinion and not a fact for a reason. Agreed

 

It dosent always work, but then again, what battle tactic does? If you are so priveleged as to have knowledge of a battle tactic that works 100% of the time, please feel free to share it with us. I am not here to discuss battle tactics, what I am saying is that you are not getting a lot of benefit by dropping golds in a huge-fund battle, better to use them elsewhere

 

As I mentioned above, you should try seeing golds more as a strategic fund than a simple source of crystals. Its like

You can't give 1 st place to a man who comes in a race of position between 3-100. I know this is'nt a race but Everything is Everything. and thinking challenge is to test how fast we can think not about how accurate we think.

I clearly said that this new reward system was a one-week experiment because people were asking for it. I then also said it won’t happen again due to negative feedback. ;)
