He will not provide the proof but it's there. And I have to say I agree with him. No reason to reveal his sources in case it happens again.

I actually made the template for the form for a Newspaper Crossword a while back, but made a copy and changed it to a TTC version. Looks like I missed a part.  :unsure:

It seems to me that he was going to publish it as a Newspaper contest, but changed his mind and used it as TTC puzzle instead. He used it here only, not both. If you can find the Newspaper issue that has the duplicate puzzle, by all means, prove me wrong.

 

2. "a unofficial contest then really there is no such thing as banns , seeing no one is breaking the OFFICIAL TANKI Rules..."

I would disagree with this as well. There is no in-game punishment because it is an unofficial contest. Official tanki violations end in official tanki in-game bans. However, since this is only inside TTC, the ban seems appropriate.

 

Additionally, this quote from the FAQ post on the first page supports the ability to ban within TTC:

...you may be prohibited from further participating if caught again. We are trying to make this contest as fair as possible... 

Marc said that they have been doing it for a while, so it seems fair to ban them in a way that has been disclosed from the beginning.

only a Mod or Admin can give proper info on this.. sorry just been down this road with the forum Admin on this topic over the weekend and it was up lifting to say who is a mod and not a mod . which still left me puzzled ..

Being in charge of TTC, we, as a group, are constantly keeping a close eye on how this project is going. Ninja and I have conducted some extensive research in order to find and tackle cheaters. We have previously found a Clan that was using their Clan Chat as a front of sorts, for sharing TTC answers. Now, we have found yet another Clan sharing answers. Against others' opinions, I'm opting for a rather lenient punishment. Considering these players have cheated for around six weeks and essentially robbed around 100k worth of crystals from genuine players, they will be punished accordingly, and with a hefty ban.

 

@sharjeel_777: Has been the 'ringleader' of this syndicate. Punishment: 12 Issue ban from TTC Quizzes.

@fury987: Has also been in charge of this syndicate. Punishment: 11 Issue ban from TTC Quizzes.

@Rocket_Raccoon_XXX: has participated in the sharing of answers. 10 Issue ban from TTC Quizzes.

@X_PRO_KILLER_JJ: has participated in the sharing of answers. 10 Issue ban from TTC Quizzes.

Thank you very much to all the genuine and honest people who have taken part in this Contest! We are very grateful for all the success that we have come by and are legitimately sorry for the people who were basically robbed of their winnings due to some cheats. Additionally, we will not be disclosing the proof, for it is not required, but there is evidence of all this. Hopefully this'll stop people in future from trying to outsmart us. ;)

 

This is not fair, Robbed 100k And, What ? just ban, I could feel happy if you just get off those crystals. Check that fury guy, Feeling thug for cheating.

How complicated can it be to just subtract the total amount each of them got over the last 6 weeks.

 

For example this guy got 5k a week ago, 7k two weeks ago, 3k three weeks ago, nothing 4 weeks ago, 8.5k five weeks ago and 3.5k six weeks ago... So total is 27k. So just tell help desk to subtract 27k from his account.

Unlike something like the containers, a rollback here would be much harder. You cant just take those crystals away, what if they don't have 27k crystals? Do you send them into negative numbers? Undo one of their purchases? Roll back their crystals and exp earned?

 

Its not as simple as just "oh take it away".
