Also , it is too be noted that Wiki has more errors than official Announcements since there is always a scope of Editing it + that's why there is a special Topic on the Forum " Tanki Wiki's hub " for finding out such Errors, Therefore it i correct to say that official Announcement cant be wrong, The same announcement had been made on the DE Forum, Hence either Both answers Are correct or it was an invalid Question!

+

No, your first answer is wrong I think.

@HiS.RoYaL.HiGhNeSs was the IND Newspaper Admin at one point, I believe.

no he is not

Edit : I have not seen Mention of him getting a T-shirt at 3 places, and then there is one place on wiki which claims that he got a Tshirt as well. That's 3 vs 1 , which one would you take into account , 1 information or 3 ?

But did they say that he DIDN'T receive a t-shirt on those sources? You can't really be sure. The wiki is a wikipedia - it knows nearly everything.

How would I know that the answer on forum is incorrect -_-

It was not incorrect, there was just a lack of documentation, in which case you should have looked for the correct page showing all of The GAME events.

what are you saying wiki information must get priority let me tell you I went this page https://en.tankiwiki.com/Contests then to the forum to get right answer It is not the mistake of participant if they get wrong information on different page of wiki and forum

Well, that wasn’t the most relevant page to go to. Most of my other proofreaders and a substantial amount of players went to the correct page, which doesn’t justify the need to disclude a question entirely.

1. Why don't you guys just own up your mistake - this was a proof reading error (Well we all are humans after all)

2. You have absolutely no proof to validate your point

3. How can announcements be wrong when everything in wiki is added after it is posted / happens in the official thread?

4. Also wiki page in concern here was created way after this thing took place

Game_wiki.png

1) No, it wasn’t. We went through this Quiz thoroughly and most of my proofreaders agreed that the difficulty of finding the page complemented the theme that it was a hard Quiz. You guys asked for a hard quiz, that means that answers also won’t be spoonfed, you have to look in the correct places.

2) I have the proof of The GAME Wiki Page, which is valid.

3) The announcements weren’t wrong, there was a lack of documentation for them. The Wiki Page doesn’t get all the information from those topics, the same way those topics don’t tell you what winners chose as their Dream Tank.

4) Nope. Wiki page was created nearly a month before the Quiz went live. It was 6th of November, not December.

Well, the information was taken from the RU Wiki which seemed to have contact with Devs or something for information.

@Marc nooba I meant the wiki page was created way after UFOS won The Game back in January 2014

And? Are you trying to say that a page, which didn't even exist, should have been updated when the winner won?

Prior to 2014 there wasn't really much of a TO Wiki other than the basics. Now it is amazing and full of information.

It can be wrong...

I just contacted someone from the RU Wiki and there is an ambiguity. I just want to make some things clear now, though.

Basically, the question will not be counted but I still stand my ground on my decision to previously still count it. This was because of a few things:

a) Enough people already got the answer right for it to be considered a "fair question."

b) I recently received information that there was a slight discrepancy between the Documentation of the Devs and the actual Forum Announcement. There were some complications regarding the person who won that edition of The Game, which meant that the Wiki's information is wrong.

The Wiki is at fault here, for we (namely myself because I made the page) believed that our information was correct and weren't made aware of the complications. However, as a TTC man-in-charge, I still stand by my decision, as not counting a question is an absolute last resort. I will always strive to be as fair as possible but I will only disclude a Question under extreme circumstances. In this case, the circumstance was that there were discrepancies between Forum/Wiki sources and that was quite unfair but there was a possible solution. Although, the major issue was that Wiki information was incorrect, thus rendering the Question unfair.

Well obviously it was ... lol. The Wiki was not properly around until late 2014. It used to be run by Semyon Kirov and some others but only started a proper system in late December. The GAME was of very little priority and thus, only recenetly was a page made dedicated to it.

why don't you guys cancel the question and stop the chaos?

This is ridiculous that you are saying that official announcement is wrong. Next time put * so that we know the official announcement is wrong.

I think you are behave like kid ya right kid whose note book says 2+2=5 and he sticks to 5. This make no sense if as you say the official announcement is wrong. This is the first time someone say so.Maybe EN and RU has different prizes and this is EN and we should play as EN community not RU

Just cancel the question.

So what will you do for that question?

Read my previous post carefully. If you followed everything I said, what I said was that (before I got the info that Wiki was wrong) I was under the impression that the Forum Announcement lacked the full information, whereas the Wiki had everything according to Developers' documentation. I cannot venture into exact details but all you need to know is that the Wiki received incorrect information. Also, the question was not counted. Everyone who the question affected was granted the question as correct PROVIDED they put the next closest to right option "alex7668-rak." If they chose anything else, they were completely wrong. However, I still admire that the people who chose "ufos92" used the correct Wiki source and the question was just given lowest priority. Like I said, though, no one was affected, everyone got their score bumped up.

@Marc , if next time just imagine that wiki has lack of information of 1 things (prize of any contest for example) and the official announcement on forum gives the complete exact details of the prize, then which one should we go for , wiki one?

Thank you very much for understanding our circumstances.  ^_^

We can't simply listen to every player's requests.

Well, this is very interesting. Perhaps, in future, I will ensure that the Wiki is 100% reliable in terms of information and everything in order to prevent this confusion in future. TL;DR - probably rely on Wiki. :)

Not only rely on Wiki but the most appropriate page of the Wiki, for we can't remember every single Wiki page but can keep the most applicable one correct/reliable.

Oh God, by succeeding Issho in TTC "Master" I have also seemed to pick up on his text-walling habits.

I think I'm the best Candidate right now for writing text walls.
