...... I thought tanki was gonna be good after all the updates which made gameplay look better but it looks like he's just another gold digger.

If I want to change the name, I can play and earn the crystals and save them so that I can change the name. It is okay they added it for you, but why they want to remove the "crystal name change" ? If they don't want our money, they should have kept the both crystal and dollar name change method. They are already surviving a lot and they just found another new way. I can say whateva my opinion and thoughts about this, I haven't used any profanity. Tanki a more friendly place for the buyers, a buyer like you. They can make money and I have the privilege to give my thoughts about this. If they have kept both the name change options, I welcome that ! but not this! You don't have any right to stop me from saying what I want to say, you have no authority over me! 

Firstly, they do want our money, everybody does, it's called capitalism, in case you slept through your history classes.

 

Secondly, do you have facts and figures, or at least a rational argument that supports your claim that tanki is 'surviving enough'? Also, since Bill Gates 'survives enough' too, he should just give stuff for free (which he does, to a reasonable extent, he does charity donation) and stop earning money and, I don't know what, my head isn't as crazy as yours, maybe you have some recommendations for him. So Windows 11 should be made free (which Windows 10 was made, to an extent) by your logic, cuz, hey, Microsoft 'survives enough' right?

 

I bet the knives in my kitchen that you don't have any reasonable arguments that supports the idea of Tanki HQ being made of gold. But I do have arguments that support the idea that Alternativa is going through a financial crisis, may be small, maybe big. Because if they weren't in one, only a madman would unnecessarily release buyers-pleasing non-buyers-angering updates and lose it's customers. If there has been an effect, there must have been a cause.

 

Also, nobody is attempting to gain authority over you, or infringe your freedom of speech, however undeserved. He just countered you illogical and bogus arguments. I am sure the 'you have no right' part he mentioned was not meant, but just written in the heat of the friction between fingers and keys.

Many games don't have the option to even change gamer tag or nickname, this is a liberty we have in Tanki, yes everyone understands your feelings clearly, there could be possible changes to the system, but all depends on the quality of feedback, but when feedback gets repetitive and abusive, there really isn't much to say. The update will roll, nothing shall stop it. Use the complaint book to send feedback there to the developers, or constructively explain your issue you have. Currently, all we see is that you dislike this feature due to it being a real-world currency purchase. Majority of people have already said this, so instead of repetitively regressing this, try come across as a tad friendlier, at the end of the day you are still here to play this, and nickname changed will not affect your gameplay.

I'm pretty sure most of the people complaining about this update haven't even changed nickname yet, and most likely won't even change nickname in the future either if the crystal system had stayed. They simply are just ranting because money is involved. It's pretty appalling.

Your name is TankiLegend623 and a hacker steals your acc and changes the name imediately to FirebirdofDeath.

How do you know that FirebirdofDeath is your account?

There are many people who have the same equipment as you do...

 

This could be helped and even stopped if we implimented the idea of letting everyone know there has been a name change. Then you (on an alt) could be like, oh wow, TankiLegend623 just changed his name... better go let the help desk know!

What do you think the chances are that a hacker is going to spend $18 on changing the nickname of a hacked account? Especially considering it's fairly easy for the owner to get the account back by contacting the help desk.

I don't think so. A 3-letter nickname by itself is quite small.

There are a few 1 character nicks i.e @Q, would be cool to have the ability to make such short nicknames again.

Well, most likely he/she'd get compensated for the pass as long as it can be proved that they bought the pass before and the hacker used it. But the odds of anyone even hacking you are slim as long as you have linked your email and only use official tanki software/site.

Actually, it's a great deal of time till the 9th of October, so you can easily play and earn 100k and get your nickname changed, if you really want to. Imo this doesn't deserve as much hate as it is getting. Not that being hated by such people is a bad thing.
