Pretty much,i play since 2011,This game has gone through quite a few good updates (FEW) like new turrets,

but mostly went through bad updates.

 

 

 

Maybe it's really because Semyon Kirov left?

Maybe Tanki Developers don't listen to community?

Whatever it is,if tanki developers continue,they will start losing money.Maybe we can compare it to Germany and it's Empires.Once was

on the top,then it slowly collapsed on itself.

You should be able to purchase the second pass only after the currently waiting in the Garage is redeemed.

I'm just waiting for that moment where creating an account will start costing. Maybe even the more letters your nickname has in it, the more expensive it will be to create the account, just an educated prediction.

Mmm, that prediction is too high. In fact, the tanki will have to change everything, including the 'Free MMO game' part, which is not going to happen. The tanki was called 'Free MMO game' since day one and it will be free forever. It's just that people don't like every new feature that cost real money. But come on guys, this is the whole point of a business. Many people may think that tanki making  lots of money, but you need to understand that they need to pay all the employees and the electricity bill, and without your help (our players help) tanki can't run anything. You wouldn't  want to spend all money from your own pocket, if so, then what is the point of a business. ;)

Login Pass is coming!

 

Tankers!

 

Owing to a recent discussion between our developers, we have decided to introduce the Login Pass to the game!

 

From the next server restart, you will no longer be able to login as normal. Instead, you must go to our new, dedicated online shop on our dedicated website and purchase a Login Pass for the price of $69.

 

With this pass, you will be able to login to your account and play as normal. Once bought, the pass will be active for 1 entire week, with time extensions available for purchase in the shop.

 

We are introducing this update to make sure only our most dedicated tankers remain in the game!

 

Please note:

 

1) You will no longer be able to use your account if you do not purchase this pass.
2) After a week, if a Login Pass has not been purchased for your account, its garage will be wiped and the experience earned on it will be reset to 0.

 

So, be ready at the next server restart to purchase your Login Pass!

 

We hope you enjoy your day and see you (or maybe not) on the battlefield!

 

 

I actually don't get this update, if I'm honest. I thought Tanki made most of their money from players buying crystal packs and then using the leftovers to change their nicknames 24/7.

 

Oh well, each to their own. Gonna be interesting to see what the general Tanki community thinks of this.

Woah 18USD for such a nickname change... This is ridiculous, other games (which gained popularity more than tanki garbage) let us do that for free or AT LEAST 1$-3$-5$, and there you are forcing players (Who have meaningless nicknames and want to change it anytime soon) to change their nicknames for 18 USD each time? You should've put a pass for 200k in garage for that, while confirming their own email, password and the nickname they are willing to use. This isn't pay2win as people here complain but a lame way to earn money easily, like you won't be able to block inappropriate nicknames now until administrators or moderators figure it out. You will sit back at your chair (tech support employees) getting 18 USD continuously. As usual you won't give a damn about our opinion and keep this update permanently, I wonder how come you are a free MMO game which do not receive feedback from the players positively without any negative reflection on your platform's name.

I reckon one of the reasons that they're introducing this is so they can free up some staff (maybe cut back on some of the Support staff members) and thus need to pay less employees, since all Tech Support really does is change nicknames.

 

If they can free up money (and create some at the same time) by reducing the amount of (or the hours worked by) the Support staff, it will allow Tanki to keep other aspects of the game free/cheaper.

 

Not saying I agree with this update. But obviously they will (usually, not always) have a good reason.
