I get why they are doing this, but would it not be much more simple to just make the nickname change an unlockable item in garage after a certain rank for x amount of cry?

That has been answered above, u can always contact tech support and provide evidence of your old account, tanki can of course help u get the account back. A hacker would be dumb to even bother hacking and spending money to change nickname on an account that tanki would then return to the original owner.

 

If you are thinking about how can u retrieve an account name that you don't know, well I'm sure tanki has some sort of logs that date back on your account which includes purchase history etc. This would have been the first issue tanki would have thought of before rolling out this update, so I am pretty sure they have countermeasures to recover accounts which are hacked and then had nickname changed with the rename pass.

I would like to voice my opinion by the power given to me by the 1st Amendment of the constitution of the USA. I am Batman, the protector of justice and this new update clearly violates all ethics and the moral code set by society. To put it plain and straight, this update is useless and horrible. If you continue making useless updates rather than fixing the real problems in the game, then this game will go into flames. Please utilize some common sense and stop making these unnecessary updates.

Great... just great..

Was thinking about changing my nick after thinking of a cool one that is availiable. But as usual my plans get ruined. i doubt i can get to 100k in time.

Why cant you just make a garage option that costs 100k or what ever u want it to be instead of making it cost real money. im not spending any more on this game and now i cant even change my nickname using crystals. Thanks ._.

 

250k for legends that crazy its bad enough it gets harder to battle with other legends higher in ranks.

 

the time limitation should be first time change one month and any others you have to wait three months , this way it would cut back on players who constantly change..

 

the other issue is what if the name entered in is not correct then what , or how would this be changed to the correct one..

I think 250k for Legends is good because I assume that many Legends who already have M4s are changing nicknames more often, where lower ranks are thinking more in equipments and upgrades, unless they have a horrible name.

 

And longer times will also help in reducing the number of changes for crystals, which is good for Tanki in a business sense.

Yes. According to your account name you must plan to use vulcan for the rest of your tanki career. Good luck in the m2 ranks- vulcan is not good during those ranks.
