Changing M0 10/10 turrets/hulls for M1 when you are eligible for M2

Recommended Posts

Hi,

let's say you have an M0 hull micro-upgraded to 9/10.

Then, you rank up and become eligible for buying M2 of that hull.

Next, you do the last micro-upgrade and you have M0 10/10 and expect to get M1 for free (and continue micro-upgrading), but you can't since the button shows only buying M2.

In another forum, I was said this isn't a bug but I don't think it's fair and I don't see any reason why this should be the intended behaviour.

I don't think it would be difficult to make an exception:

If you are eligible for M2, but you have M0 10/10 then show the "M1 for free" button, then it can change back to "buy M2" (for full price) or you can continue micro-upgrading.

Of course, the same could/should be done if you have M1 10/10 and you have the neccesary rank for M3.

Thanks

This is done on purpose to prevent you wasting crystals on weak equipment. If you fully upgraded your M0, then you already basically have M1. But if you already have M2 available, then it's much better to save up and buy M2 (preferably during a holiday sale), than get M1 and micro-upgrade it. Which is why getting a modification for free when you have a higher modification unlocked is not possible.

well, I think what he means is that he wants the turret or the hull to have the looks of the modification.

Using that example, once M1 is available it should be automatically Micro-Upgradeable, that way when M2 is available it is not blocked from being Micro-Upgraded to M1+1.

Are you kidding, right?!?!?

I spent (I mean WASTED) a lot of crystals for micro-upgrading to 10/10 and ONLY THEN I know that it's not possible to exhange M1 10/10 for M2 (if M3 it's available).

So how do you prevent me wasting the crystals?

Another question:

On my other account there is a Hunter M0 10/10.

I can't continue micro-upgrading since M2 is already available.

If I bought M2 it would be the same price as if I got M1 for free and the micro-upgrading to M2.

But the latter would be easier since you don't have to have all the crystals at once.

So why does this help us?

This is only makes us waste crystals and I could also call it deceptive.

Of course, it's a way to make us buy crystals....

We have a wiki article about micro upgrades, where it says the following:

When you fully micro-upgrade an item, you will be able to get the next modification for free, if you have the required rank for that modification.

If you carefully read what it says, you will realise that only the next modification is given to you for free, but not the ones after it.

But I do realise that this is an honest mistake that anyone could make, so I added further clarification to that page in the form of a paragraph in red to warn players about the potential waste of crystals.

What you suggest is still unnecessary, because whether you have a 10/10 M0 or a 0/10 M1, you will still have to pay the full price to buy M2 or M3.

You still don't understand me. :(

I attach a screenshot.

I have an M0 10/10 which I have paid for!!

I want only the free M1. To "get the next modification for free".

And I want to continue micro-upgrading to M2.

I don't want free M2 or M3. Not at all.

Just a button for the free M1 EVEN IF I am eligible for M2 because of my rank.

And I want to continue micro-upgrading to M2.

Why would you want to do that, when you can just save up crystals, wait for a holiday sale (Halloween, Christmas, etc.) and buy the whole M2 with a massive discount? Using micro-upgrades would be a massive waste of crystals, and that's why it's done like that - to prevent you wasting crystals on upgrades of a weak item.

OMG, then disable micro upgrades for M0 if you are eligible for M2.

Or at least write on the Wiki that DO NOT MICRO UPGRADE IN THIS CASE, BECAUSE YOU WON'T GET WHAT YOU HAVE PAID FOR.

Check the wiki. I already added a warning. That's the best I can do at the moment.

By the way, disabling MUs for a lower modification is actually a good idea. Feel free to post it in a new topic.

It's not the best you can do. You can send this up to the devs.
