It will be an extra option when you create a battle, will be called ''Mortal''  and can be implemented on all the existing game modes. It is same or close to Last man standing I guess.

 

Players will not  respawn after they die and the round ends when there is only one player alive, 

 

Players will not have to wait for the round to end, they can find another game and claim their rewards afterwards or can wait while watching the game by the point of view of a player that is still alive and changing between players but cannot chat while they are on that special spectator mode. Round or battle will only start once the battle is full. You only live once, you need to be very careful of how you will be using your life. Your tank is like a human, mortal one. Once again, you live once, think carefully.

This would really encourage me and for sure many others to play more often. This kind of game is mode is very famous in many many other well known games and it would be very nice to have it in TO as well, definitely worth considering.

Cool concept. However, wouldn't certain turrets have some sort of advantage over others in certain scenarios? Say, Magnum, for example, has an overwhelming damage per shot, and can often one shot a Viking with DP. So this person can hide behind a wall and shoot/kill everybody. Also, rounds would end pretty quickly considering each player has one life only. If not, players would camp each other out and that would eventually bore players who had already died into leaving the game.

Anyway, regardless of these fixable issues, I would most certainly try this mode out. It sounds pretty fun and challenging and would definitely make players more careful with their lives!

I think this has been suggested before, or at least something close to it. People will end up just camping until the majority of people were killed and then snipe the remaining. It would turn into a giant camp fest - something we know is not fun. Possibly make the map a big square with minimal hiding spots? Make something so the most powerful sniper doesn't win every time...

Thing is that I would also would like to add some extra lives like 3 lives max per player in the team and completely remove or eliminate the pause option in this new game mode so players don't have the chance to pause once they get killed over and over and abuse it till 1 player is remaining or till everyone gets killed so without the pause option, no one will be able to pause therefore by getting killed, you respawn right away with or without you playing so no one will be able to abuse anything and the game will keep going smoothly as possible. If we allow the have the pause option, nothing good will come from this and yes, Magnum can be quite annoying but also let's keep in mind that everyone has the right or choice to use or play whatever equipment he/she wants so I don't think we can have any restrictions from it.

Just like in XP/BP, all the other Turrets and Hulls are eliminated, maybe same should be or could be done for this one and will be a new format where everyone can use equipment except those camping ones such as Magnum, Shaft for example and it should pretty much run smoothly.

i think only magnum can be a problem , since you dont even know where the shot came from and it can one shot you at anytime, but shaft? really? you see the lazer so you avoid it and try kill it from behind, that isnt that hard to accomplish. 

But to be honest , none of this turrets will be good due to the long reload time, in such battle lond reload means sure death , and there arent many maps where people can camp so effectively that cannot get killed at all, and if there are some maps, the majority of the people will use this kind of turrets and the game will be "equal" again.

Just think that if its DM everyone will try to kill the magnum and shaft first, if its ctf or cp camping weapons cant make any difference since you need flag or points to win the game and if its TDM im sure both teams will have at least one camper so in the end it will be only these two and they will have to kill each other if they want to end the game eventually so they have to quit camping.

And about this, there are many popular games that you play in that style but they have camping weapons, but they dont remove them cause they dont really affect on negative way the game (for example CS go )

Another interesting game mode that I have suggested is the Elimination battle mode where the last position players gets eliminated when a round is over, until the last player standing in first place.

Well, if you don't have time to play 10 rounds (or 6, 8 according to the maps), you don't join such a battle mode. And if you have just a little time to play, you can still enjoy 3 or 4 rounds if you're not eliminated and get eliminated just in time to leave.

 

It's like XP/BP, especially in long Polygon CP. I don't understand players that join, make like 4 to 6,7k exp, and then they're like "ok guys I have to go now" and they just leave, and of course a M2 take their place and we lose.

 

If you don't have time, just don't commit yourself in a very long battle, that you know you will not have time to finish.

 

Here, it was my little blow of the day on one of the many aberrations that I see every day in this game ^^

 

Btw, your idea is very good, same for Riddler's idea. We need more battle modes. But hey, they told us that maybe Assault mode would become a permanent battle mode, we're still waiting.

Druggers will love this, just get a Dictator, drug, plant mines, overdrive and wait for noobs joining the battle.

If this is implemented, I think it will work like DM tournaments. The battle will start only when all players will be in the battle. So if someone planted mines before the map was full, too bad for him, all mines will disappear :D
