"Friends" chat channel

Actually a very, very nice idea. But I fear it does not work.

There is a side effect:

  • player A is friend of B. Player B is friend of C.
  • => So player A will see messages of player C in the proposed "friends chat" even if they are not befriended.
  • Unfortunately this problem for A happens with all friends of player B. Also for all of their friends, who can answer too.

Friends connects like that:

or on a larger scale:

Basically your feature will most likely connect 90% of all players online via this tab, because most people are linked to anyone else via a path of multiple hops through the friends network.

But as it's not truely _all_ players (just _almost_ all), the check for whom the messages shall be sent to will take a loooot of resources (given the assumed number of chat messages in a semi-global channel.

Unfortunately you can not simply say "connect only my direct friends". If A posts a question, and only B can see it - then B can answer. But if B answers to A, then C will see the answer of B.. while C has no idea about the question, that was originally posted by A (yeah.. :D )

so.. I have to decline it, as I do not understand how this can work out. If you provide a good solution, the status may change.

Hi Tanki,

I think there should be a special chat-list for friends where you type something and it only visible to your friends and voice versa,

in friends chat-list, there should be 2 options;

1. general message with ";" this symbol that will be visible to all your friends.
2. private message with ":" this symbol that will remain in that chat for 24 hours and it can be posted even when your friend is offline and only he/she can see this.

I did not make and upload those pictures - I searched for those pictures on the internet.

According to the watermarks they are from companies that sell pictures for money, so I doubt that you can upload your own stuff there.

Yeah, I created a free account in it but it seems like a hard process uploading pictures though that...

I personally use https://www.imageupload.co.uk/

to mention any picture in form posts.

Just simply upload and request for the direct link to picture. xD
