  1. 1. How come dumb/bad players exist in this game (even after past the newbie league)

    • Because real money is a real "game" changer. Haha, punny right?

    • Because this game is for casual people and not hardcore gamers

You are a very extreme pro-tanker. Things you are saying are true but at this point your coating the truth with bricks. Defending till the wnd. You won’t asmit the noobs.

I'll admit the noobs in the low ranks.  There's plenty.

Here, I'm talking about the higher ranks, at least Major and up.   What I'm saying is that it's quite difficult to actually play to Major and not pick up the basic skills and strategy.   And some factors can completely handicap players and make them look as noob-ish as a Sergeant.

How many is a brazilian? That's a lot of hackers.

there are hackers who have english names and don't speak at all so i don't know where they're from. but for 100% of the the rest of them they either have portugese names or speak portugese. I said they're brazillian but i'm not actually sure they are, they could be portugese or from any country that speaks portugese. of course, those who have nicknames that end with br are most likely brazillian.

I thought you meant brazillion as in a number, like gazillion.

Rotation too slow? Don't they know they can turn their tank and rotate their turret to look and shoot around way faster? I mean, that's what I do. I thought everyone knew about that.

Yeah I know but that's what he told me. Like I said, the tankers who do turn their Ricos are harder to beat.  Sort of makes sense.  lol

Since Tanki made the genius decision to block out the battles I do play (basic)  but let me see the battles I do not play (pro) I took a look at what pro battles are available for me today.

Arena, Island, Sanbox, Polygon CP, Noise, and substantial games on the onther tiny maps.

Why do so many Tanki players play poorly?  The fact so many players play nothing but small maps and meatgrinder games must have something to do with it.  The dumbest games get the most use.  When these poor schlubs venture into a team game they are helpless.  For schlubs playing Tanki means driving towards the nearest enemy blazing away until you blow up. Then spawn again and drive towards the meatgrinder again ASAP.

Out of the tremendously long list of Pro battles maybe one in twelves was on the sort of large map you see in basic battles.

These sections should be renamed.  The Pro competition takes place in the regular battle side.

Leave the no-supplies Polygon CP no-time-limit battles out of this!

I need somewhere for my Isida to generate crystals so I can buy more Magnum Protection (or upgrade the protection I already bought).

These players are druggers grinding EXP/CRY. Whatever enthusiasm I might have towards the removal of PRO pass and the ability to create battles for free is dampened by the fact that these games are probably going to be the majority. Good old days, when people actually played certain maps.

:) To be fair I did not say anything about no0drgs battles.

I did check every single game on a large map (10 or more per side) in the Pro section.  There were IIRC 5 or 6 no-drug games.  Three of which had zero or one player in it.

I hear about no-drug games but every single time I check the pro list I do not find them.  I have played in maybe three in the last year. (Of course I rarely have a Pro Pass I could not play them if I found them.)

My opinion on the matter is that, as a new player, there is no real drive to turn your turret. Yes, the start/tutorial shows you the buttons, but why bother? Since lots of people feel the same, lots of people just play without turning their turrets. And since lots do this, you can get by without learning yourself.

This continues until the Warrant Officer ranks, I would say, where alts will buy an M2 kit and become seriously overpowered compared to M0s and M1s. At this point, people have three options. Quit, persevere, or face an incredibly steep learning curve taking you from being an M0 to an M2, perhaps with very few crystals to your name.

Last night in a CTF game there were about three of 'us' fighting 3 or 4 of 'them' right at their flag. One of our guys had his star up but did not use it.  Had he used it we would have been able to grab the flag. Probably all three of us wold have lived to escort it home. Instead we all died.

So after respawning I once again f typed "use the OD that is what they are for". Someone mistook this for a question and answered, "for catching gold boxes when you don't have drugs". For the first time I had an answer. It is bad strategy, but at least I had an answer.

So at least some of the refusal to use ODs comes from obsession over catching gold boxes. Players would rather save that OD to try to catch a GB which may or may not drop instead of winning the game.

Only one player can grab the GB and having and OD is not required. No one should "not have drugs" after six months of triple mission rewards. Winning the game probably means your team as a whole will gain more than 1,000 Cry compared to losing. The game WILL end. The Crystal pool WILL be awarded. A gold box MIGHT drop. In the long run you are better off playing for the win than waiting for the GB which may or may not arrive.

When you see a team with 4-6 tanks running around with stars over their tanks, almost always that is the team with the lower score. i

Poll needs better options.

My opinion is that you can get to the late M2 ranks without developing skill - because the game limits players to one or two hull and turret combinations. All purchases before M3 are throwaway, so players are disinclined to spend crystals much less real money. This in turn limits players abilities to adapt equipment use to maps, which then obscures the imbalance of many maps.

All of this comes crashing down when M3 equipment unlocks. From then on, you have to play with and against pros who know everything about the game. Adapt or leave.

Many leave.

It's ironic because $40 spent at W04 rank will have a waaaaay bigger impact on your career than $40 spent once you reach Commander.  Does $40 at that stage actually buy anything besides a drug kit?

From My side is,

Players spend their life in forums like our . Seems like he takes ages to rank up. I still see big buyers just buy crystals like a lump and buying all m1's for them.. discounts are waste for them.

Players could'nt find their combo's major fault is that one.

Buying the cheap M1's worst combo ever I've seen in mammoth and firebird.

Buying with real money at WO4 will get you a sweet M2 garage. Won’t help at M3 cause you have to buy all over again, but you will be experienced with more equipment.

But you’ll absolutely dominate the M2 ranks. Could be fun ;)

Mammoth Fire works on tiny maps, but RIP daily missions.

is an Alternativa employee, and not so much a player. It's part of his job to spend time on the forums and not in game.

I'll say it once and I'll say it again; There's specialization and there's redundancy. Specialization would be a Thunder to attack the enemy team's light hulls, a Wasp of our own with something like Hammer to finish them off, and a Shaft bringing up the rear. Redundancy would be three Wasps with Shaft attacking with one Mammoth Shaft defending.

You don't need to buy to be good :/. I've never bought one in tanki and I'm part of a growing xp/bp clan that has quite a few skilled players in it.

Skill comes naturally, I guess the more you play and practise, the more skilled you get. Don't worry bout buying it has little to no effect especially at my rank. And BTW Camping in most cases is not skilled, especially with shaft. In xp/bp it may be quite effective but capturing flags is better.

Just practise till perfection guys.

Some Inspiration from -mex-
