Magnum and why it should be nerfed

You are right but I controlled for that. The self-destruct numbers I posted came from shooting at a wall actually touching the front of the hull.

 

And as we know the "real real very hard" learning curve was in fact as shallow as tapping a button to get a food pellet.

 

Riddler thinks he is a deity. What Riddler states becomes fact. Better hope you're not on the can when Riddle declares gravity pushes things up.

 

If Magnum or any turret was nerfed there are enough players who know how to count that it would be detected. Damage numbers are visible, you iknow.

 

Th e complaints started almost immediately. ... Oh wait, Riddler has belched up nonsense again thus altering history, Silly me; I keep forgetting Riddler declared himself to be God.

riddler is not good and does not know everything but obviously he knows alt more about the game then you do do quit saying that he knows everything because he does NOT AMD he is not being unreasonable I actually agree with him in everything that I've read from him...

Guys you idiots have complained enough about Magnum just STOP because it is a very good turret and the moderators cannot remove it only the people who code the game can but before they remove it or nerf it or anything alt of people have to agree so just stfu and go play the game instead of complaining about it

Who mentioned about removing magnum lol, you just made yourself look like a fool, well done. 

 

 

On Topic: 

 

In order to destroy the tank with 1 shot with magnum, you have to hit the direct shot to land on top of the tank in order to get fully destroyed. I've been experiencing this myself lately. Each angle of the tank has difference between the damage. Even if you fire magnum in order to hit splash damage next to the opponent, the chances of the tank getting destroyed are 45%-50%. I'm just talking from my experience and what I've witnessed these couple of weeks. The splash radius does at least 500-1000 damage per shot even with DD, so that's like 2-3 thunder shots but since magnum is hard to control and land a perfect shot in that area, it seems realistic to me.

No one is asking the moderators to make any changes. Not everyone has to agree for changes to be made. Did everyone agree with the Smoky nerf, or Twins nerf, or Railgun changes? No, but those turrets were changed anyway.

 

Also - does not help your case to call everyone who doesn't agree with you "idiots."

100% of what you said is 100% stupid. I myself hate Magnum, even I can easily control the "hard to control" turret you claim to be Magnum, and I honestly am no math teacher.

Put a poll up and lets vote if it should be nerfed or not.

Poll won't change anything. People can go on alt and just simply vote for it to get nerfed or not lol. Unfair results.

Utter nonsense.

I mean, it IS the highest possible caliber that can be mounted. It's just basically fool-proof.

That doesn't make sense. Why would the devs care which game we play? The same company runs both of them.

it would be great if magnum had a weaker damage in smaller distances and a stronger damage in very long distances so it could be used on its actual potential

Fuse on Magnum Shells

 

I think Magnum has balance issues. But rather than nerfing outright, I suggest a change to its mechanics: implementing a fuse on its shells.

 

Shells will not explode as they do now, upon hitting an obstacle. Instead, the shell will explode ~4-5 seconds after firing, regardless of whether it hits the ground, a wall, a tank, or if it is still in the air. This mechanic has three consequences which I think will improve balance and make Magnum less frustrating to play against overall:

  • Players will have more time to react. Yes, Magnum is not a hit-scan weapon and it is possible to dodge shells, but most of the time it is not enough to get away, even with light hulls, because of the massive splash damage radius. With a detonation mechanic, the shell will be embedded in the ground / wall and will explode after a short time, providing a better chance of escape.
  • Raising the skill ceiling. With such changes, prediction for Magnums would be even more important than it is now, and smart players would try to maximize "air time" so as to minimize the time the shell spends on the ground unexploded. Furthermore, when running away as a Magnum, it would be possible to lay an impromptu mine by firing a shot at minimum charge in the path of the enemy.
  • Decrease Magnum's effectiveness at close range. Currently, Magnum can derp tanks easily at short range, which is a problem. With a timed fuse, doing so would be much more difficult and encourage Magnum to be played as a long range support turret, which was its original purpose.
