Magnum and why it should be nerfed

Recommended Posts

Please don't nerf Magnum.

Magnum with weaker damage and splash damage radius will make this turret useless.

Please keep Magnum parameters as they are currently.

Thank you.

I have a good suggestion for players struggling to play on maps like Highland.

Players facing enemy Magnums can buy protection modules against Magnum which they can micro upgrade all the way to 50%. You can also use double armor as well.

What Magnum needs to have in the near future is some alterations to alter its parameters without nerfing or buffing it default parameters.

Before the release of Magnum, developers said that the goal of this turret was to make it destroy a light or medium hull when using double damage, except when the enemy has double armor or a Magnum protection module.

When players are protected by a Magnum module, it takes 4 to 5 Magnum shots before the enemy gets killed. If Magnum is ever nerfed, it will become underpowered and useless, so players will no longer use it at all, and Magnum will lose all its popularity and advantage in battles.

If you have M2 or M3 hulls, please consider on upgrading and micro upgrading them to M4. This will make sure that your hull can resist more firepower from Magnum and other turrets as well. When under heavy enemy fire, just use Titan or Mammoth because they have more HP than light and medium hulls.

When firing a shot with Magnum, by the time you reload, players can kill you before you attempt to take the second shot, so please understand that if Magnum becomes weaker, it will become useless and underpowered, so please keep this turret as it is now.

There are quite a few ways to protect yourself against Magnum shots, so please stop complaining about this turret. There is no need to nerf or buff this turret. It is perfectly balanced out with all the other turrets in Tanki Online.

All the other turrets in Tanki Online are perfectly balanced out as well, so there is no need to complain about nerfing or buffing them at all, because they are all properly suited for gameplay.

Thank you all for understanding.

Oh, my mistake. I didn't realize that to completely balance out the game we should all buy protection modules for the same turret and micro upgrade them to 50% then drug the whole time. Great idea there. And just because you want to reach 2000 kills for the giveaways. That's great for all you Legends, but I can't buy any good M3 modules let alone micro upgrade them to 50%.

And I have definably "considered" upgrading my hulls to M4. One slight problem though... I don't have any M3s to MU.

Thanks for understanding now. This topic must now be declined because if Magnum becomes underpowered, it will ruin Magnum and make other turrets overpowered against Magnum and ruin the balance of the game.

Just think about it.

Also, I forgot to mention that Magnum is now a perfect turret for parkourists, so you would expect your team mates to be able to kick you up on top of that skyscraper you always dreamed of landing on, so lets keep Magnum as a well balanced turret which every parkourists players wishes to buy and use as their weapon of choice for eSports contest events.

Magnum takes skill? Nice joke. Let's also consider that Railgun needs line of sight while Magnum does not. Magnum has insane splash, Railgun does not. Magnum can one shot any hull in the game on DD, Railgun cannot.

There are far fewer players with high caliber ammo than Magnum players. It's a poor comparison.

Actually, using High Cal Ammo, Railgun M4 can guarantee 2 shot kills on medium hulls without DD and guarantee 1 shot kills.

I'm glad somebody picked up on the sarcasm

Even if the nerf were to happen, you would still be able to use Magnum for parkour…

Quit being so damn rude. My god. You're worse than another guy I know of who thought he was better than everyone and wanted all his gear buffed for only him but he wanted everyone else nerfed.

Was there EVER a turret that got removed? There have been features and elements that got removed, entire maps even, but not a single hull or turret has ever been removed. Tanki seems to think that enough tacked on glitter can make anything better, and props to their optimism for thinking that way. I have faith that they'll work something out like they did when they made Vulcan a short-ranged turret.

they have removed turrets before, but they brought them back afterwards

Which ones? Smoky and Railgun XT were promotional items like a holiday paint or the red suit paint.

I use Magnum with double damage to complete weekend giveaways of 2000+ kills. I cannot complete such giveaways with any other turret, so please do not nerf Magnum. Magnum has the correct level of power according to its reload time. If Magnum becomes weaker, then it would be almost impossible to destroy enemy tanks with 1 shot, even when using double damage. Please keep the power of Magnum as it is.

Please don't nerf Magnum.

Magnum with weaker damage and splash damage radius will make this turret useless.

Please keep Magnum parameters as they are currently.

Thank you.

aaaaaaaaaaand the reward for most obnoxious member of the tanki community goes to...

"I find it easy to get lots of kills with this turret, so please dont nerf it" - Riddler logic.

Perhaps his nick is riddler because he speaks in riddles, and were meant to interpret them differently, though probably not since his reasoning is similar to that of a 6 year old.  -_-

Look, I am not speaking in riddles. I am very serious about the fact that if Magnum becomes weaker, it will be ruined due to underpowering this turret which will make other turrets overpowered against it.

I'm not sure if anyone has suggested this but, I think magnums are alright, they just at least shouldn't be able to shoot at close range. I understand the long range concept, but when an M0 magnum has almost the same power as a m3 railgun, it's just way too overpowered. We now have rushing m0/m1 magnums that have almost the same damage as my m3 railgun I spent $100 on microupgrading, and that are able to 1 shot my m3 hornet.

If it's whole "can't be rotated because of mass" schtick is true, why can it be mounted on a Wasp with no speed reduction?

Description in Garage

The real magnum opus of tank-building mastery. The biggest calibre that can be fit on a tank hull, creating the most powerful blast. It sports the longest barrel of any turret and has the biggest recoil control. Its recoil can easily overturn a light tank. There is nothing in this howitzer that cannot be considered «the best». However, the targeting system is incredibly demanding. Due to the huge calibre, the turret needs to be welded to the tank hull. As a result, the Magnum is unable to rotate horizontally. Additionally, the turret's projectiles follow a hyperbolic trajectory, making it very hard to calculate where the shot will land. However, once mastered, this mechanic will allow you to hit enemies in unreachable hidden places, and at any distance. To land the perfect shot, you will need an intuitive knowledge of the Theory of Strength of Materials, mathematical analysis, thermodynamics, the theory of the function of complex variables, and of course ballistics. If all else fails shoot directly upwards and run away before the shell comes back from the stratosphere and annihilates you and everything around you.

Exactly, a big gun needs a big mount. Which can be the smallest and lightest hull in the game.

Esplanade requires a little support and teammates on the ground and top as well. If you all camp the top it just becomes a giant flankfest with free supplies for anyone smart enough to take the lower road.
