Unified Battle List and Chat channels

By scrolling through the list of battles what's written there does not match the image to the example example below it says 8 red and 10 blue while looking at the drawing is red and full blue with 2 free places, and while clicking over it you can not enter . (I would like to put sreen but I do not know how to do it)

Well, first of all, I'm not a chat admin. Secondly. my colleagues are only giving an hour ban for floods just to calm some players down, so that they do not go for higher violation which may lead to higher ban, and they are going to regret later when they calm down, so we don't want this to happen, we are trying our best to calm people, unfortunately,  some of them are not trying to understand at all. 

Not treying to make you look like a liar, but i've seen 4 (1 day ban) just in the last min.

 

whatever, i'm off for today, both the "Battle" Button & "play" button don't work, and when i join i get 999 ping really fast and forced to refrech my client and start all over again, i'm sick of looking at chat all day insread of actually playing (wish is what i want to do but i can't).  :( 

 

p.s: i don't have any internet problems.

I'm no longer receiving any issues in logging in or joining a battle. Although the load up is painfully slow, and my PING is as high as stars in the sky, the issue is starting to resolve slowly. To all the programmers; keep doing what you are doing. It is no longer a matter of 'if', but a matter of time. 

However, I'm still getting disconnected for no reason at all, and my high ping is something that is different from how Tanki normally reacts when I have high ping.

I can see the battle properly, and there is no delay or lag, but my ping itself is very high, I cannot really damage anyone, and I am seen lagging across the whole map to other players in the battle, even though I can view them properly without any delay. Basically how spectator mode works, without me being in the battle.

instead of telling us to calm down & banning people, go do some real work and fix the game.  -_- 

You don't realise that mods and admins cannot fix anything? We can only collect your complains and reports and send it to higher ups, those that actually develop this game? 

 

And I'm sorry but we cannot allow flamming of the chat, that's what contributes to lags immensely.

I think the idea is great, but the implementation was perhaps less so...

 

A problem many people seem to have is an inability to join battles. It seems totally random, sometimes you click play and you join, other times you see your name join the battle, but you don't, etc...

 

Quick question, when do kits reset?

Before this update, I could expect 40-50 FPS in any battle I joined. Now I get around 15-25. This update is terrible, everybody else agrees. But so was having to hop between servers. So, my idea is that the battle button will ALWAYS send you to an already existing battle unless there are no battles of that gamemode with spaces availible. Hopefully this would mean less battles and less lag.

for the last battle i had 3 people begging me to calm down and let them finish first;;;;;; i hope all these people will realize they're losers and don't deserve the rewards for finishing first soon enough :(

If 10 people in a battle have Finish 1st missions, what do you think will happen? Even if all of them are not losers, only 2 will finish those missions.

 

That is the problem.

What I do Suggest to improove This Update Is Basically to make 2 Buttoms Of Either Pro Battles and Non.Pro Battles cause scrolling Lot of battles to find the format to play And The Map u wan't is a bit boring Tho

 

And Talking to the new chat system,Their is lot of Msgs posted once in a time and That is Too Much for 1 sever witch causes Lot of lags and Also It's boring to switch btw chats so u better add something To switch btw chats Like "Ctrl+K" Or Something Like This And If u wan't to chat u need Like 0.30min for few Lines

Not a very good Idea, many players are frustrated and I can see why. Battles and garage take a long time to load, server is full of lag. Game takes a long time to respond because it's heavily loaded all into one server. Chat channels are useless as far as I'm concerned. My ping could be the best but it is useless as hundreds of players are all bunched into one server and make a great amount of lag/connection problems.

It is working fine, i tried 3 accounts with the client, same time to enter battle as usual, same order of lag and Ping.

But sometime we can't join a battle by clicking to join a team, looks like battle on the top of the list with only few places left.

One suggestion, you could add a filter to select pro or normal battle that would shorten the list and probably reduce lag in the lobby refresh.

 

Also in the client we need to have a quick assess to the battle link,, that would help to report violation. Suggestion: if we use the L key that will copy the link automatically and show it on the screen for those who record. that would greatly help the hunt for violators.

If I lose my mission chain I'm quitting TO for a while. The lag is immense. I have a laptop meant for gaming and it lags a lot. And that's putting it lightly. And @Ostrica can you put your act together and stop banning people? Like someone else said WORK ON THE DAMN GAME INSTEAD OF MAKING IT WORSE BY BANNING PEOPLE. Just sitting there typing "/ban" every second does not help you or the company at all.

We have the right to make it worse. The devs *again* shove an update towards us that clearly nobody asked for.

what! im pretty sure i've seen many people asking for a unified battle list -_-

I will be brutally honest and share how all of this works.

 

The update was planned for reasons such as making it very easy to find a battle, and at some point, be it not enough testing, poor server planning or anyone else, things went wrong and the whole day our programmers spent fixing what should have worked from the beginning. Already we all see it won't be resolved until tomorrow, and we can just share our frustration, post what's happening in the game and wait for the morning. For very simple reasons, people who make decisions and who tell programmers go do this or fix that are not reading and will not read you, me or almost 30 pages of this forum thread. They will go to community managers and ask what players say and how they feel about the update. I will already tell the truth, which is not pretty, but those who move the whole project forward do not hear "remove the noob update", spamming the chat with hashtags or poking accounts will not make those decision makers suddenly remove the update. It just won't happen. But I'll tell you what will.

 

If we all, players, mods, and me with other CMs gather plain, real data, saying how the battle progress gets rolled back, how "Play" button doesn't work when the battle is almost full, how your ping has suddenly hit triple digits - this will matter. Real Damn Data.

 

So please, if you don't want to play Tanki anymore, I will not stop you. It is a free game, you can come and go as a free person.

 

And if you decide to stay, if you care about Tanki, your friends who still play and want to play a better game - post details.

YOU (the chat Admins) that should calm down !  :angry: 

 

you bann people like it's the hunting season, you have no shame, telling us to calm down from your high tower wearing your fansy helper paint talking to us with a disrespectful tone, get this through your head: without us (the players) ALL this will fade away, you made a bad update, we have all the right to NOT calm down, we can't even join a battle man !

What place are you in to tell us to calm down? All you care is that you keep your damn job and that the money keeps flowing in. You don't care whether or not players get banned at all. And don't say you do because you said, and I QUOTE, "unfortunately,  some of them are not trying to understand at all." We don't understand why you even put this in WITHOUT TESTING. IT'S COMMON SENSE. You test an update and how it functions on test servers.

You can't expect people to stay after implementing this update without our consent. You guys just put in untested and unstable updates without even letting us know beforehand.

My ideas to help the situation:

 

- Shorten the rank bracket to at least 5 ranks long.

- Add more 8v8 maps for less lag, more Rio, everyone loves Rio. Maybe even 4v4 Sandbox.

- Remove Finish 1st or make it rarer.

- Remove Flag missions.

- Remove Crystal mission.

- Add Destroy 10 Tanks in TDM mission.

- General Chat should only include the people of the same rank bracket you see in battle. There could be another chat for all ranks, but not by default.

- There could be a Friends Chat where you see your friends.

- Maybe a button to the forum in the communicator panel.

WHY DO YOU THEN TELL IN THE V-LOG THAT IT HAD BEEN TESTED AND IT WORKED WELL.... TEST, THEN TEST AGAIN AND THEN IMPLEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the whole, I like this.

 

However, there seems to be a bug when joining a battle, I click on either the red or blue team and the button won't respond.

 

It doesn't happen all the time.
