Is Tanki more fun now than it was a year or two ago?

Mass cheating and hacking with even less oversight.  Seems like the mods just hangout in chat to ban people when its the game that matters.  

 

Nerfing equipment that you earned or payed for is like kicking your customers in the balz followed with middle finger to the face.

 

Overdrive making matches even less balanced by rewarding the dominate side.  I'm fine with overdrive if its on a set time period.

 

Madness map was awesome in big # matches then some clown developer ruined it by removing the floor portion of it.  IMO it was the best map now you never see anyone on it because its stupid especially with low gravity on. 

 

Clans making the game boring with their kits and stupid amounts of drug use.   If you can drug enough to take 4-5 hits from a shaft/rail on DD supply its just boring with the slow recharge. 

 

Talent-less turrets like the twins, freeze, and fire are now the strongest and i'm guessing its to get noobs to pony up $$$ for the game.  Turrets like smoky, thunder, and rail made this game popular because they are challenging and you have to practice with different hulls and protection.  Now noobs put a brick on the keyboard and shield/speed drug for positive K/D ratios........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The same thing happens in every single online MMO, sorry.

 

Firebird, Freeze, and Twins are the strongest? Are you sure we're playing the same game? Saying Thunder, Smoky and Railgun are "challenging" triggers me. Believe it or not, Thunder requires less skill to use than Firebird. Why? Press 2 key, sit behind cover and farm damage. Lots of skill involved here. The game is full of Ricochets, Thunders, Magnums, Railguns, and Isidas - mainly turrets that some might consider require "skill" (Except for Isida). Yet there are so many of these players with "skilled" turrets who don't know where the x and z keys are but do know where the 12345 keys are. Firebird and Freeze simply can't compete right now. Try playing with Freeze and tell me what kind of K/D you get. Then play Thunder and compare.

I disagree, none of the online games i've played nerf your hours like this one.  Its usually the opposite with the developers favoring the loyalists over newbs. 

 

Please a M3 twin and viking with MU is unstoppable, boring as hell to play with but difficult to beat.

I used to play for actual fun a couple years ago. Now, I just do my missions and log out. When I used to play a lot (2 years ago), I was playing with a squad, and let me tell you, that squad is all legends now (I was higher than all of them except one)

The game has consistently gone downhill from a fun game, to a P2W. There are so many things are bad, for example: The paints are stupid expensive for no damn reason, premium accounts (took out daily bonus for F2P and kept for P2W), every single turret and hull is overpriced, you don't get enough crystals from battles to keep up, sales have constantly been lower, I could name so much more but I have better things to do.

It's real simple, this principle goes the same with old generation vs new generation, old generation doesn't like some of the stuff that millennials like, now if were talking about a player who just got bored of playing the same game as they've been playing then it's exactly as it is, based on my experience, i reduce my play time for this game dramatically but not because i play it over and over but as to how the developers handle this game (basically new updates being implemented and such)

Not sure how. Viking is quite fragile, and because Twins needs to sustain damage it's a poor combo. Combine it with a medium sized map, where Twins' range is a problem. Heck, even at short range it will be outplayed by Ricochet.

You have never played with a m3 twin then as the range is as long as rico btw and the shot rate doesn't slow down.  The developers tried to nerf the twin but self damage change is extremely easy avoid. 

 

My m3 with MU account is boring to play IMO as it requires no skill just some shield supplies and a brick on my keyboard. 

 

Only Titan and mammoth have a stronger hull  btw so i'm not sure why its fragile?

Fragile as in not stable is probably the case.

 

Viking is the "old" Hunter.  It went on a diet and is now faster.

However, impact now has more effect on Viking and it is harder for Viking to target enemies while under fire.

I had more friends before when I wasn't very active on the forum but all of them leave or don't longer remember me

So it was more fun playing with them before but now I don't have them, still the game is enjoyable

Addition of Magnum was good update? In my opinion it is one of the worst updates ever, a REAL reason to leave the game, not unified battle list, which is a pretty good update. Seriously, it's exactly the same how it used to be, except all the battles from all the servers are aggregated.

I dislike Magnum and think it is impacting the game negatively.  Many (not all) Magnum players use the turret as kamikazes.  It is irritating to have a Magnum under fire with an assured kill, but then he shoots and blows himself up.  You get nothing except some damage....sure, he gets a self-destruct, but you lose health, time, and possible a life.  Other turrets have self damage and they self-destruct once in awhile as they try to defend themselves, but with Magnum it is a constant problem...a much higher percentage of self-destruct while under attack.

 

A good sized nerf would help, but it would still leave the self-destruct situation.  All in all an un-fun turret in the game and another straw on the camel's back. In my opinion Magnum makes Tanki less fun to play.

I believe it is less fun than it use to be. (I started playing in 2013)

 

Back then you could meet people and actually become friends but now everyone is toxic and the community is starting to die. It use to be about skill but now all you need to do is buy drugs with m4's and you've basically completed the game. Back when MU's weren't a thing everyone was equal it didn't depend on how much you played or how much you could earn and now it depends on your MU's. Players are less likely to play as well because of all the new updates such as (OP kits at low ranks,Harder to find good battles  and most importantly it is turning into a pay to win game.

2013 - Friendly people,Stayed in one server to meet with friends
2014 - People are quite friendly,a simple game
2015 - New paints,nerfs etc and easiar for newbies

2016 - Rise of OP buyers,Harder to buy drugs,easiar for low ranks however harder for higher ranks and MU's became OP and the game became unbalanced due to buyers who can MU their turrets/hulls to m2/m3 very early (emphasis EARLY)

2017 - Pay to win,Barely any updates apart from new paints which cost $50  -_-, no new guns, no new maps, toxic community

Patch update 150# missions should complete on non-pro battles and should press the battle button.

Idsa loses its self healing abilites.

Due to over updates, a new update is given by their servers called "server disconnected"

Vulcan becomes the trigger of it .

prevent the shortcut measurements, a wall is added in the path in maps like highland and serphov 

The kick off System which kick players due to inactivity.

madness lost its down floor , now no flips can be done there.

Removing the 10 crystal crate, they should drop it in special weekends is'nt right ?

Removing the epic maps search in you tube guys,

When funds reach every 700 gold drops but, it has been removing so, when gold drops is unpredictable 

That's it more to say but, my brain is'nt supporting

Why do you need to buy paints?  How do they help your in-battle performance? 

 

Stop spending "millions" on paints.

So it was more fun playing with them before but now I don't have them, still the game is enjoyable

I remember I was in a clan and I had many friends. I could say that all of them quit. I look at their profiles sometimes and remember all the memories we had with the combos they got and then I ask myself, will they ever come back, sadly the answer is no. :(

OMG, I was only away for about a month and they made it worse AGAIN!

Now I can't change servers!  Where is the promised ability to create battles again?

These developers are insane.  It's worse and worse and worse and worse and worse every time they touch it.

I doubt it's any coincidence that you can't see how many people are playing now.  They would not want that info to get out.

I’ll be honest. To put it simply, no. For me, the Tanki playing experience for people who have played for years has made gameplay rather stale. It’s the same old buyers, druggers, etc. dominating all battles, skills are practically irrelevant nowadays. I felt 2015 was the best year of Tanki for me and was also the year I joined. The thing about Tanki is that they make the whole starting off process so damn addictive! They will continue to get new players but they will lose players who are veterans. Some extremely loyal players will continue to spend on this game and are essential to this game thriving. For now, we can only really take what we’ve got and look forward to the future. :d

After Halloween, I am just about ready to throw in the towel and stop play Tanki.  Well, at lest stop doing Daily Missions.  I am tired of being forced into DM battles.  I like Isida for its healing abilities not its attack.  If I wanted to play DM all the time I would use Firebird.  

 

I used to have fun playing Tanki, but around the Paint Separation update things took a turn for the worse.  I retired my original account as it was getting too high in rank and drugging was getting to be too much.  Ha!  Now, even at a low rank, drugging is all there is anymore.

 

It is not fun to have to think about when to press 1 2 3 4 5.  Tanki used to be driving around shooting other tanks and it was fun.  Now, with the outrageous drug use, to compete you have to ue drugs and that means you think less about shooting and driving and more about when to activate which drug.  It is still a type of strategy, but not one I like.  In fact I ditched a fairly high ranking account and started over just because I didn't like all the drugging.

 

Without Daily Missions, I can do a mission if they are appealing and do Pro Battles even though it is kind of hard to find a good pro battle unless it is prime time.  I won't be able to upgrade as fast without the weekly mission reward, but maybe it will maake Tanki fun to play again.  It is too bad the developers screwed the game up so badly.

You'll find it even more likely to drop weekly mission chain once they bring in Match-Making full time.

 

I have a feeling only Pro-Battles will appear in battle list and you won't be able to chose your map when trying to do a mission.

That will guarantee me dropping the missions.

I am already planning to break my mission chain if they actually start the dread MatchMaking.  Personally, I think we saw Tanki's MatchMaking this Halloween.  I seriously doubt the actual version will be much different other than being much slower to place you in a game.  Once in awhile there will be a forced wait until two teams fill up for a new start.

 

Tanki and it's mouthpieces will tout that MM will sort players by some magic algorithm so rank and equipment will be compatible.  My bet is eight or nine ranks higher...just like it is now...is compatible by Tanki standards....and the rank brackets might be even farther apart if enough players aren't in queue.  In other words MM will just click you into the first available place in any random battle that would have appeared on the UBL...just like it was this Halloween for a couple of days.

 

Right now with the UBL we are starting to get nothing but blowouts in three team modes...CTF being the worst so far (2-0 flags and you already have your winner).  I think Tanki may have anticipated this to let MM be the cure.  There will still be blowouts, but it won't be from the losing side abandoning ship since MM will keep filling the game with poor unfortunates...it will be a different kind of blowout.  

 

Tanki seems to believe a full battle is a good battle...go figure.

 

Anyway, I'm pretty sure MM will be a complete disaster and I am planning on becoming a casual player, choosing a mission to do here and there and playing mostly in Pro-Battles, if I play at all.  It is just a shame that Tanki keeps degrading a great game and turning it into just some little flash diversion game that you can kill a few minutes with..

This is where they are making a huge mistake.   10 vs 10 is not always the best option.  Some like it - some hate it.

 

Nothing wrong with 3 vs 3 on a small-medium map (where you will see a lot more CTF caps) or even 6 vs 6 on Kunger.

 

The only important thing is the battles are as close to even as possible. Forcing 10 vs 10 does not guarantee this in any way.
