I'm Sergei, and this office is not only for the Community Manager — it is for anyone who wants to help Tanki Community.
 
There's been a thread about me recently, and with time, I will hide most commonly asked questions under the spoiler. For now, you're most welcome to ask me about anything, just remember to look out for Game Rules.
 
And now, the juicy part. I'd like for this topic to be not only about me, but the whole English community. Do you have a question how we work day to day? Why CMs post mainly on the Forum? Or, maybe, when the new spec chat moderator applications open?

Q: How old are you?
A: 30, October 14th is my birthday.
 

 
Q: Do you like Pizza?
A: I'm pepperoni-crazy, deep-dish-curious.
 


Q: What is your status?
A: In a relationship.
 


Q: Did you work for any other games before joining Tanki?
A: On a Point & Click adventure, two turn-based strategies, a F2P MMO, a mobile puzzle game and a few personal projects. I've been a CM for most of my career, and a system administrator, web-designer and instrument fitter prior to.
 


Q: Do you have any hobbies or interests?
A: I like traveling, especially going on road trips, and my hobbies are typical nerd stuff - books, games, lengthy youtube research.
 


Q: What is your favorite food?
A: When I have an option and no willpower left, I go for the darkest of chocolates and spoons of peanut butter.
Other times, I cook at home, usually turkey with rice and vegetables. There's no actual recipe, I just make them "edible" :D
 


Q: Can you tell us your PC specifications?
A: At home my current build is i7 3770 with GTX 1060 and 16GB of RAM.
 

 
Q: Why did you pick Nives as your nickname?
A: I think most of us choose nicknames when we are young and easily impressed, so did I. :D Watching a japanese TV series about two brothers set in a distant, post-apocalyptic future I really liked the character of the older brother. He had a name—Knives—which I used everywhere online, and over the years it changed to this.
 


Q: Where are you from?
A: Born in USSR, raised in Russia, first in Western Siberia, then Eastern, near lake Baikal. It's been fun :D
 


Q: Do you have any pets?
A: I've had two dogs over the years. Dogs are awesome.
 


Q: What is your favourite Turret, Hull and Paint?
A: Isida, Viking and Black paint.
 


Q: If someone abuses you, how will you respond/reply?
A: I'm a tough cookie.
 


Q: What time do you usually play in battles?
A: I usually play between 17-19 UTC, right after I have a giant dinner and do some important research on reddit. :ph34r:
 


Q: Which football club do you like?
A: I'm more of a hockey guy, probably because I'm Russian :ph34r: Living in Saint-Petersburg I am legally bound to say Zenit though. :D
 


Q: Next year in FIFA World Cup, which country will you support apart from Russia?
A: Germany.

A: I board.
 


Q: Who is your favorite international football player?
A: Pelé!
 


Q: Who is your favorite Actor and Actress?
A: Ryan Gosling and Sigourney Weaver. :)
 


Q: Were you offered to be CM here or did you apply?
A: I was approached by a recruiter.
 

 
Q: What was your job in Tanki before CM?
A: I didn't work at Tanki before joining as CM.
 

 
Q: How much money do you earn in Tanki Online?
A: Enough to pay the bills. Games industry is not about making money, better stick to IT, banking, gas etc.
 

 
Q: Where did you learn to speak English?
A: My English started as everyone else's in school, but improved by playing a lot of games and watching a lot of movies. You need a clear visual and logical connection to the words. Even if you don't understand what a phrase means, you will get the purpose of it.

About the game:
 

Q: Do you have any plans to appear in the V-LOGs?
A: I can neither confirm nor deny. ^_^
 


Q: How do you aim to improve the game?
A: I think a lot of players feel like developers don't listen or don't care. I know, for a fact, that this is not true. My goal is to work together to make the game better and to share with you how Tanki are being made.
 


Q: What will happen in 2018?
A: You'll see new events debut in November and December. They will be an example of how big we want to become.
 


Q: What is happening about spectator?
A: Specs were always very hard to give and to check, this is why instead of trying to fix broken I want to build a new system. November we begin first wave of new spec testing, and current spec holders have them because of the legacy.
 


Q: According to statistics, are players leaving or joining the game?
A: Right now we see the opposite of leaving. In all online games it's a flow, based on popularity, time of the year and competition.

Personally, I'd say get the game stable, invest in marketing update.

For the event itself it will probably be similar to last year, looking at how now we need to fix a lot.
