Next to jump hacks there are alot of people who use 'ignore tanks'. This type of hack makes your tank go under your enemies tank when you push him, basically you go trough the enemy. Also No-recoil is a common-used hack in TO, with this hack you don't feel the impact force of the bullets and mines, very effective against a vulcan or twins for example. This hack is used in xp/bp very often so people don't get their aim knocked off.

I know this one, I've seen it in video's plenty of times, but I haven't encountered one myself.

The only cheats I come across occasionally are jump hacks to get gold boxes, so I'm wondering what other cheats you guys see. And how do you know if the devs are aware of all the cheats out there if none of the players are willing to explain which cheats they are seeing, or record a video of those cheats?

 

 

One of the main types of cheaters in this game are the mult-user cheaters in CP no-supplies battles. That is, clowns that have a servile mult dog on their friend list, or an alternative account of a friend/clanmate that they invite into the enemy.

• Mult-user joins one team, mult dog or alt account joins the other.

• Both mult-user and mult play normally. The mult always subtly stops playing once their team gets too much of a lead, which narrows the lead.

• Fund grows nicely and CP battle reaches critical point.

• Mult either stops playing completely, deliberately plays useless or leaves battle with the close-browser cheating trick(rather than leaving properly). Leaving their team disadvantaged for up to five minutes as no-one can join to take their spot.

• No time for anyone to do anything about this cheat and the mults team gets owned. Vote system is ineffective anyway.

• Ever found it amazing how quickly a team that was fighting brilliantly suddenly collapses and gets beaten easily???this is most likely why. And it often happens when the fund hits a certain amount.

These cheats are currently ruining high fund battles such as Poly CP (espcially XpBp), Arena, Hill, Island etc(mainly small/medium maps). The reason they target no-supplies is that it's so easy to manipulate the outcome of those battles with a mult. In a supplies battle, a team that's being robbed by a mult could drug more to make up for their team being hampered, in no-supplies they can't. And as you may know, a disadvantaged team in Poly CP XpBp is always likely to lose because being a tank down leaves one less tank for the enemy team to have to hit(or be hit by), so they can target everyone else, which then usually leads to that team being overwhelmed at respawn and unable to keep the point for long enough. Hence the reason many Poly CP XpBp battles are pretty much a mult-fest nowadays, totally rigged unplayable battles.

 

The reason I know this is because I know that some clan-members are sharing names of alts to act as mults. Also, I'm always hitting TAB at respawn to check out what my team are up to, as well as looking to see if there's some noob constantly leaving and rejoining battle with the close-browser trick I mentioned earlier, which BTW is also a way mults reset all the votes they've been given by teammates. Some are so brazen that they do this for a large part of battle. Quite often, I've even seen the mult-user chatting away with their mult dog in battle chat.

 

What can be done about it?.....Kick system wouldn't necessarily stop these rigged battles as its often too late to do anything about it, but a matchmaking option exclusively for the high-fund no-supplies CP (including Poly XpBp)battles might....mainly because its almost impossible to plant a mult in the enemy of a matchmaking battle.

 

As for video-reporting cheats, If anyone has lag problems when running the recording software alongside the already laggy Tanki, then this anti-cheat system is entirely useless to them.

 

BTW, I've also seen one invincibility hacker and a few jump hacks.

That is indeed a form of cheating, but more commonly called sabotage. What I was referring to were cheats using 3rd party software (those you named in the end), I should have made that more clear.

Magnum and Striker are OP and we all know it... A lot of players want them to be nerfed and rightly so. There are many threads on the forum and an official one in the I&S section too. I myself have complained about it in the complaints section. By when are we expecting this nerf?

There is no confirmation of rebalancing for either, but the devs have been notified. Especially about one of them.

Striker deals about 1000 damage/shot. That equals to 8k damage with DD only in 4 seconds.... Can any turret excluding shaft beat it? I think not. Both Magnum and Striker users completely rely on drugs all the time and deal massive amounts of damage. Maps like Highland, Iran, wolfenstine and cologne have been ruined because of it

What is tanki doing for those of us that have already spent millions of crystals to buy and mu existing turrets and hulls that are no longer op? Everything I have has been nerfed. Then you cut down times that drugs last and cooldown times. You can only protect against 4 other turrets at once at best with protection modules. So without drugs all the other turrets that I don't have protection for just slaughter me. Tanki needs to throw us a bone or I and perhaps others are leaving the game. I don't want to play magnum. So what do you want me to do?

I'm playing, rewind last couple of weeks and you'll have your answer why less often.

 

I bought M1 Isida as soon as I could and now ravage most of the battles, it's fun :D

 

UPDATE: I would add that I started using drugs more often, since got Double Damage and Armor stockpiled for a few ranks, and now with enough drifting can chain up to 5 kills if I get enough Ricos and Vulcans in the same place.

Also no big group of cheaters rushing in during the last 5 minutes and taking over the game.  Now I can get a fair number of kills and points and help my team, which is all anyone can ask in the first place. Now just nerf magnum, buff isida, thunder, and hammer, and you got it.

This is not matchmaking, its just the old battle button split into 4 categories - cp, ctf, tdm and dm.

Isida doesn't need a buff IMO. Thunder is kinda same but due to many people having Thunder protection. So it seems like thunder could use a buff. Hammer is also meh but could use a buff considering it's pretty useless in non drug battles cause if someone has hammer prtection your doom.

Well... the lag is getting so bad that I can't even record anymore. The last hacker I recorded and submitted to the reports area of the forum apparently wasn't enough proof. I also have another video of a hacker, but why even bother uploading it to youtube and submitting it? How will it benefit me* if it somehow got accepted?
I used to think that I could be a big part of the moderator part of Tanki, but I see now that there really isn't a point. I don't even want to be a mod anymore :unsure: .

 

*Well, besides an occasional 1k crystals from goldboxes...(But even then, its not that many crystals)

I am guessing it will just be like the miniclip one... I am sure there won't be a problem. Besides, the lags are so bad on browser for me I have to stick with steam or I lag out of every battle :(

One less cheater in the game, it's a group effort. It's your choice if you want to be a part of it or not. It will not be held against you if you don't, but we'll appreciate it a lot if you do.
