Should I buy Raiden or Medic?

My apologies for creating this topic, but nobody answers my questions in the "What to buy? WHich is better?" topic.

I usually play in Island, Arena, and Hill in pro battles without drugs. I have Hornet m3 and Freeze m3 and can do well with it. I am confuddled, however, should I buy the Raiden kit or Medic kit as I can't decide. Please tell me. I am average at playing with either turret. (I have Thunder M2 and Isida M2). If this helps, I have no real advanced paints (my most advanced one is Swash ATM, so I think that the protection modules should also be taken into consideration.

Raiden kit is only really good with drugs. And not good in close-range maps like the ones you said. Why? Because you do self-damage. Freezes can trap you, Firebirds can chase you and make you self-destruct, playing with a mid to long range gun in close range maps is bad. Thunder's pretty average without drugs. Drugging hard with Raiden kit means you can dominate the battlefield. 

 

Isida is good if you want exp, get it as early as you can and Isida M3 remains overpowered when used with low ranks, until you get into the higher ranks at Generalissimo/Legend where you'll find less Island battles, more protection from Isida and Isida loses its strength then.

 

Medic kit is OP in the right hands, I would recommend it for you.

Anyway, seems like you are having a little bit of tough choice in here but since I'm not familiar with the Kits and their names, I went to the Wiki page to see which of the two kits you talking about and right when I saw them, I already decided which one to recommend you.  First, let's start with your Hornet, it is nice that you have Hornet and Freeze M3 which is good but you don't have a heavy Hull M3 or even a medium Hull M3, the only Hull you have M3 is Hornet and you really need to get a medium Hull M3 at least as Hornet isn't that powerful and can easily be killed. 

 

First kit is Raiden, it is nice kit, has Viking M2 and Striker M2 which both of them are nice but I don't see the point of going for M2 kit when you can easily buy an M3 kit which offers you much better equipment than what the Raiden kit offers you. 

 

I would strongly recommend you to go with the Medic kit which gives you M3 Viking  as well as M3 Isida. First of all, you will get your first medium Hull which isn't just any Hull but Viking in this case which is just one of the nice and most balanced Hull in the game in terms of power and speed, both are awesome, not to mention that you can slowly micro-upgrade it to M4. So I don't see the reason why you would choose M2 Viking over the M3 one. 

 

Secondly is Isida, not sure how much you have used Isida nowdays or you used to use but Isida is just insane, Isida is way too powerful in this game now and many players are already complained about it and suggesting a nerfe for it which still didn't happen and not sure if the developers will do it but it is a sucking machine, no one can heal infront of you while you start sucking the life out of anyone so once you start, it is confirmed that the other tanker will be dead. Not to mention the fact that with Isida M3 at your rank will just be too much to handle especially for your opponents so it is the perfect Turret for you and let's not forget about the healing ability that comes with Isida where you gain constant experience with it by just healing team mates which will make you earn experience with less efforts and faster than before so I would 100% choose M3 Isida over Striker M2.

Don't mind the Raider kit, wrong kit but go for the Medic one anyway.

Yeah, Medic is a better kit than Raiden, with the exception of Raiden's Protection Module, which (in my opinion) is one of the best in the game.

 

I've used Kodiak T-C M3 for a long time and it has rarely let me down.

 

But yes, far too many people have Thunder protection (in complete contrast to the amount of Isida protection you will encounter). Isida is still horrendously overpowered as well.

 

Yeah, all my thoughts kinda disappeared after seeing that article by @Hate....

Medic is better for your gameplay but still Raiden is pretty darn good too. As everyone said it does need some drugs and as Coldplay said it's module is also great. Medic's one is similar but has vulcan instead. You could try other gameplay styles with thunder though I recomend Getting a weapon for each range when first buying m3's. It's up to you if you want to change up your gameplay. Thunder can be well suited for almost every map other than the one's you stated.

The preferred map, which you have provided us, easily decides that Medic would be best, since your teammates will always be near to supply aid, so they may capture flags. However, your skills and preferences, pertaining to the turrets you are higher or less likely to be skilled with, also play as a factor in what kit you should consider purchasing. In the end, all we can do is give you our perspectives on the matter, but it's up to you to make the sole decision on which to buy.
