Paints should cover the tank completely

Recommended Posts

Paints should cover the whole gun, not letting it be like gray. Only camuflage paints should have this ability.

I would more preffer to have option so i can choose would i like whole paint to cover my tank or only some points. For example, i have M3 railgun and wasp and I love to see that look with some paints, like neuron or MOP paint 2017, with gray plates. Also, it would be harder to see does someone have M0, M1, M2 or M3.

I agree about recognising different modifications, but idea is only about camuflage, not looking good. Although i agree it looks nice with chromed metal. But keep in mind that look isnt power, its just look!

Actually I would second, as I often missed it myself. But the thing is that you would not be able to differentiate between modifications levels if there are no grey/metallic elements visible anymore and that has an impact on the gameplay. M0 equipment has the least grey elements and so you can hide with camouflage paints on them better than with M3 right now.

There's always the 'R' button....

Why would anyone want to have to constantly press that button to tell what modification people are at? I agree with Tani, the idea seemed good at first but now I can see how it’s not overly practical.

Seriously, a 254 page PDF about camouflage? Jeez, this is a game forum, not a military research facility :D

I should also mention it's a handbook from the late 50's/early 60's. Military practice for application of camo has changed drastically.

Think of Digital and Forest if you would. Back in the 60's, camos like Forest were the norm because they were believed to be the most effective way to camouflage something. Nowadays however, Digital's design scheme is the norm. The original purpose of camo in the first place was to disrupt the outline of something, not to hide it. At close range, regardlesss of what camo scheme you use, you become very easy to spot due to your unmistakeable human outline. However, at ranges of over 100m, you go from looking like a human to looking like a natural looking, oddly shaped blob. At 200m, your outline becomes nearly invisible.

Which I should mention about that btw. Camo paints in TO should give bonuses to how close an enemy needs to be to see your nick in battle. And maybe even add hull perks that can give the same effect as the perk "Cold-Blooded" in CoD. The perk removes your nickname from view, making  you a literal ninja/ghost.

noob. we are talking about tanks here. that pixalized camouflage is called disruptive pattern, the sharp angles and colours make it hard for any outline or straight lines to be discerned when worn on a human. obviously this wouldnt help tanks thats why not many tanks have that kind of camouflage. How many tank do you see with that pixalized pattern?

it might be from the 60s but its basically the same thing as what i learnt in the military 2 years ago.

dont talk about what camouflage is when you dont even understand the word ok? the word comes from a french one and i am french.

Well guys overall, what usage do paints have ATM ? None, only to show your power, in case you are buyer and thats it. I just wanted to give them some other use but if you dont agree then okay...

Actually paints do serve to make you harder to spot at range if you stand perfectly still. It helps with me using Shaft ALOT. If it's a snowmap, I slap on the White paint, find a nice cozy spot overlooking high traffic areas and enemy spawns, and set up shop as it were. I know it helps because there are times where at mid-range someone would definitely have spotted me if I was using Black or Green, or any of my fancier camos like Flora, Desert, or Storm. Which is something else I would add, Storm only works on night maps and there are no night maps nowadays. I miss night maps because they were fun to play on and ambush plebs.

I use Urban on most maps and White on winter maps. I find that Dragon matches with map grass the best. I would LOVE to have Dragon covering all over my tank in summer maps.

Honestly, only period of me playing this game that felt like actual War game including tanks was like till WO1 because the hulls and guns were looking so original at M0 modification but now at M3 they look like high-tech machines, kinda

I know but having everyone’s parameters showing up in my face is extremely annoying, why should I need to rely on it to see what modification their tank is? Sorry, my opinion is against this proposal.

Practically speaking, my account isn't overflowing with crys so the paints I have now are what I have. I'll say though that while the camos I have are situational, they suit alot of maps easily, especially Flora and Metallic

The higher the level of the hull, the more area that is not covered by the paint, a lot of part is gray black, it is so ugly!

Hope the Tanki design team can refer to the actual tank paint method. Let the paint can cover more area. Not like now, no matter what kind of paint you choose, will all become the paint of your choice + ugly gray black!
