Why has the rank limits been changed in PRO battles?!

I can't find anything about it in "Patch Update" forums.

So either it's a bug or the wiki needs updating:

Also, I see that in tomorrow's update there will be a change for non-PRO battles:

"Rank limits for standard (non-PRO) battles decreased"

but I'm not sure what decreasing limits means... will more or less ranks be able to play together?

It should come once the matchmaking system is rolled out, although technically there won't be a pass needed at all.

Rank limits have indeed been changed unannounced after many players requested it.

 

It means LESS ranks will be able to play together in non-PRO battles.

It means that less ranks will be able to play together.

I like this update.  Nice and clear, and the option to use the old Battle system for those who don't like change/want to find a specific map.

Haven't found any glitches yet...

You are right! But as long as they still let us see the battle list and pick our own battle, I am OK with it. I am sure they will be some people who would love this update. I used one of the buttons and it took me on the first DM battle in the list of course with all legends! Of course I got our of there faster that I got in! These developers seem not to get the fact that most players do not like to have their stupid system pick a battle for them! This is what happens when you grow up in a country where you are conditioned by birth that the government knows best what is good for you!

For my taste, it would have been much easier and simple to have the battle list sorted by battle type rather than alphabetically by map.

As convenient as it might seem, this idea is problematic for the following reasons:

1. Having to load everything every time instead of just the thing you need will increase lag, and will increase (a lot) the time it takes for the lobby to load, look how long it takes to load the garage alone. With most players going straight into battle without opening the garage it is clearly an unnecessary thing to load the garage.

2. The garage itself takes an entire screen, so before squeezing it into a small window in the corner of the lobby you need to completely redesign it, and with such small space it will be very inconvenient to find some stuff in your garage, especially in long lists like paints and protection modules.

The Garage section is not meant to be the full opened Garage, just a representation of it, showing which hull, turret, module and paint your current configuration is. If you want to change that configuration you'd have to click on it. Same for Missions section.

 

I do care about data consumption too, and for that I suggest that the lobby should only load the News portion of the Communicator, then load the Chat only when you switch from News to Chat.

I had to delete cache because it was stuck at loading. Good update... using the Battle list of course.

 

Edit:

 

^That was with a low rank account.

 

With a mid rank account, rank bracket is still too long and it doesn't make sense because there are more players with those accounts.
