They double the Speed-Up costs.

And doubled the waiting time for upgrades (Viking M3 last micro-upgrade - 192 days).

This meant they increased the cost of every step.

Why did they do this?

The answer is simple.

Money.

They increase the price of Micro-Upgrades and Speed-Ups so that people would buy crystals from the Shop.

 

Actually, that update made micro-upgrading your equipment cheaper. While they increased the speed-up cost and time, they reduced the step cost significantly. As a result, micro-upgrading without speed-ups now costs only half of what it used to. Upgrading with speed-ups costs as much as it costed before the update.

On top of that, they reduced the total micro-upgrade cost of m3 equipment around the same time.

If I remember correctly, they also nerfed M4 stats so that fully upgraded equipment was less overpowered compared to stock M3.

at first it was only the chat section , then once i tried a few more times it ended up locking my hole computer , I'm not sure if it was to do with internet which I can't see happening due to my son was watching tv on his computer. / we can have 6 computers going all at once streaming shows and games and nothing goes wrong... I was also thinking it could of been me hitting too many times on the enter key , but once it locked my page I knew it was not that.. so I haven't got a clue.. also just tried to connect to forum and its says no Internet connection which there is cause I was on other sights and working fine..

Fix the lag and bugs before you worry about screwing other things up!

 

The coding has more memory leaks then wikileaks! 

 

Developers seem hell bent on moving on to new releases the users don't want and refuse to clean up their own garbage.

Well, if the chat freezes, the only option is to refresh the game (as soon as it happens). I have heard of the chat freeze bug before, as a chat mod was also affected from it. Apparently it first occurred when the unified battle list was implemented. 

If the whole lobby freezes, then it has something to do with flash and browsers, I think the best workaround is to click on the profile bar, return to the game and it should work again.

I don't know how many people are using the new buttons or not, but once one team is losing some players leave and then mostly low rank noobs (sorry) join that team, could be people using the new buttons versus people using the battle list, you may know. I feel like the current setup keeps sending noobs to the losing team.

 

Most players try to join the team with the most high ranks, with Premium and that is winning.

 

I think Matchmaking will solve most of that, but is Matchmaking good for a game like Tanki? I'm not sure.

 

What I would like to see are improvements to the current system without Matchmaking.

 

For example, to prevent people from choosing the winning team in the Battle list, there should only be one button to join a battle, that when clicked you'll go to the team with the less players, then if you end in the team you don't like you can leave, but you'll not be able to join that battle again until next round. If there are friends in a battle you will be sent to that team.

 

 

Another fix should be reducing the ranks even further, especially in the middle ranks, 5 ranks long would be good.

 

And to make the new buttons more attractive, players who use them should be put in battles where they are one of the top 3 ranks, maybe even top 2.

 

With these we can keep the option for players to be able to choose their favorite maps, while also making the new buttons more used and useful for new players and mobile users.

Not a fan of "one button" to join team battles - I like to choose my battle-mode and my maps. 

Plus I hate being placed in half-finished battles on the losing team. It's such a handicap - most of the time you just get spawn-killed and accomplish nothing. No crystals and no missions completed. Tanki-X does this and I hate it.

 

A year ago I did suggest a tweak to joining battles on the battle-list though.

Currently you can join any team if number of tanks is equal.

My suggestion was to not be able to join the "winning" team unless it had less tanks.

You mean one button per battle?  Instead of "join red" & "join blue" for each row (battle) just one button "join battle"?

 

If yes to above then it's not a bad idea.  One issue would be you can't join battle of a friend if you spot them playing while browsing list.

 

My idea was to code it so the winning team can't be selected unless they have less players.

today hit battle link and was expecting to go to a battle , but instead I ended up back in the chat page... then again leaving a battle the link never closed once I was on the chat page..

Since this update I can no longer refresh my browser and still continue to play in the same battle. I get kicked out!!! 

 

Even if I re-join the same battle, my score is wiped out, so I start from 0. Why? This is more buggy the the previous patch. At least then people were able to refresh their browsers and hold on the the battle they were in.

 

This happened also when I got the famous "Game-error please re-enter the game" - ain't anything I can do about it unless I re-enter the game!!

Also some times when I join a battle from the "list" with plenty of space left, I see the loading page as if I'm joining and then I get back to the Lobby. WTH?!
