Declined Add a Referee to the Matchmaking System

The matchmaking system is on its way to be released step-by-step of the way into Tanki Online. That's an amazing thing to hear in V-Log 150, but there is still one tiny feature missing.

 

How about adding a referee to the matchmaking system, just like in a football match. A referee can make sure that matchmaking battles are always full, and players obey the rules properly. The referee can also be a helper, which can assist newbies, or even help players to catch gold boxes when they are dropping.

 

For inexperienced players, a matchmaking referee can help players understand on how to play Tanki Online properly and effectively. Referees can also make matchmaking system battles slightly different than usual battles and bring something new and unique to matchmaking battles.

 

A referee will not cause any abuse to the way Tanki Online battles are played and will be there to help players when they ask for help during battles.

 

Please tell me if this is worth considering for matchmaking battles.

With hundreds of battles going on at the same time, it's impossible to get hundreds of volunteers or employees to watch over every single one of them. Additionally, what you propose isn't necessary because:

 

A referee can make sure that matchmaking battles are always full

 This will be done automatically by the matchmaking system itself.
 

and players obey the rules properly. 

 For that we have Battle Moderators, who can be summoned with the /vote command.
 

For inexperienced players, a matchmaking referee can help players understand on how to play Tanki Online properly and effectively. 

 For that we have Chat moderators, who answer players' questions and give advice in chat.
 

Referees can also make matchmaking system battles slightly different than usual battles and bring something new and unique to matchmaking battles.

I don't see how a person overlooking a battle could bring something new and unique. You need to be more specific.
