What was going on in this battle?

Forest CTF. I was on red team.

 

I joined at the beginning of the battle, 3v3, score 0-0

 

Language: Russian

 

Both teams are on the hill, but on opposite sides, not in close proximity to each other. All 3 Blue team members started chatting in battle chat with long lines (3-5) of words. Red answered back with just as much long lines of chat. I have no idea what is going on and no one is fighting or trying for the flag. I start grabbing flags and blue team is not trying to stop me. Meanwhile, the chatting is continuing between the two teams. Later, one more blue and one more red joined and they didn't participate in the battle either. 

 

After I made 6 flags without any competition, I decided to get in a couple kills. Blue team loaded DD and I was killed instantly before I could get a shot off. I made another flag to make it 7. Then a couple blue team members blew me away with DD and made 2 flags while red team remained on the hill without any counter attack. 

 

I went ahead and made the rest of the flags without competition. 

 

Does anyone have any idea what might have been going on? None of the players on either team had clan logos. 

 

Were they friends meeting on a map for general chat? If so, then why were they hiding? Because no one came out in the open, I had a feeling this was not a friendly meet. 

 

Any ideas?

Could have been absolutely anything, a clan discussion, a friends discussion, an enemies discussion, a discussion about life universe and science, man it could have been a discussion about jupiter, dehydrated water or a discussion about Imok-Urok. A discussion can be anything and I mean ANYTHING they could have been discussing about this discussion that they knew would take place because you were in the battle and knew you would be curious and start a discussion about their discussion. Discussion is amazing and I could discuss about discussion for days. Discussion discussion discussion.

Damn that could be anything. They might even be thinking to solve mystery of coffee in a new way, no?  They might be asking each other, why sugar is sweet and salt is salty?

Really need a video or "at least" a screenshot of what they were chatting. This was just like a narration of an incomplete story lel

i can take screenshots, but I don't have the right program to upload it to TO. Guess I'll have to download the link. Anyway, I was just curious. Seemed strange that both teams were huddled together on opposite sides of the map. It was like two rival gangs meeting, but afraid to show their faces for fear a gang war would break out. 

 

mentioned a clan discussion. But none of them had clan initials beside their names. 

 

Oh well, just curious. Unless someone else has anything else to offer, this thread can be closed at anytime.

Maybe it was a "live" test of the upcoming friendslist like it was in the test a few weeks ago...

 

I'm sure Perm is able to do such live testing with special versions of the client or special links for the browser and a special group of players.

 

And suddenly you where send to such a live test battle via the match making system...

That's an interesting concept. I wonder if both teams stayed after the battle was over.
