No you can't "easily choose to play pro battles"...not if you want ot complete missions.  And a player needs the mission chain to even attempt to be competitive.   We are economically forced to complete daily missions to buy equipment, kits, upgrades, pro-passes, and now drugs...you know this so why spin party propaganda like "well just play pro battles then"...get real.

 

And I know exactly what you mean by waits...we experienced it on the MM trial...wait and wait and wait to get placed in some random slaughter battle, 80% of the time on the losing side of a blowout with half of the battle completed already.  Match making my eye.  I will even go as far as to make a wager that what is in place temporarily for Halloween will turn out to be superior to what Tanki will become after MM is implemented.  And what we have now is awful...MM will most likely be worse based on Tanki developers track record so far.

If you really want to complete missions, you know what you have to do, no need for me to explain it again as I'm sure you know. The trial was exactly that, just a test and the actual MM system will be definitely improved, otherwise they would have released it and made it permanent after the test. Besides, most of the time In matchmaking you'll get sent to a brand new battle, don't worry about that :)

With server restart tomorrow, at 02:00 UTC November 2nd, all non-PRO battles will return to Battle List, with two changes:
 
  • All Battle Filters will be active, and you can filter by DM, TDM, CTF or CP, but only one filter can be active at a time.
  • If we face a similar critical situation we will need to remove regular battles from Battle List again, for a short time.
 
The return of all regular, non-PRO battles to Battle List will go live 02:00 UTC November 2nd.

If you really want to complete missions, you know what you have to do, no need for me to explain it again as I'm sure you know. The trial was exactly that, just a test and the actual MM system will be definitely improved, otherwise they would have released it and made it permanent after the test. Besides, most of the time In matchmaking you'll get sent to a brand new battle, don't worry about that :)

Then game will be like trial and error method & unstable battle situation

 

on old system:

player watch & follow for a battle which was suitable for them as map, rank, battle position(how many time left) , which team weak, which team loosing , is there any friend in battle and after all a suitable map for their current hull and  turret they have

so they after all this they play full battle & battle was almost stable

 

on MM system

player spent hour & hour for a suitable map they want , so now if you see players are joining & leaving map so quick . in a 10-10 map at least  over 50-70 players are joining & leaving with play about 3 min

if i have a firebird with viking combo , in a big map its not good , i need a medium map to play so have search a really suitable map for an hour.

or i can find so quick if i am lucky that moment

 

so... from players point of view its a failure project. but history say last 2 year is not good time for TANKI ONLINE

they take 90% wrong decisions & loose a huge loyal players

You do raise a number of valid points. Especially the one regarding the maps. However for the others; ranks will be similar to yours as the system will choose those that are closest to your rank; time will be either a new battle or one which still has a number of time left and regarding equipment, if all battles will be 10x10 it might not be wise to use combos not suitable for those battles. This is an issue which is present right now too for missions :/

 

As always, pro battles will stay and will actually be made free if the plan stays the same :)

hope this stays , can't stand battle list finding me battles , way too many issues with this system

 

loose a huge loyal players

like u said , too many issues with this system , not only do we not like it but it forces us to battle with players we have on our blocked list who we want nothing to do with . I also find way too many higher ranks with lower ranks the balance for ranks needs to adjusted , there is no way you can battle with a m2 and a m3 its just out of the question .. someone needs to rethink this system way before it gets put in play..

Thank you! Finally, the developers admit this Horror-ween of 2017 was more a failure than a success in many aspects.

 

I highly doubt there will be any similar critical situation once the regular battles are in place. There never was until PRO battles were forced upon us.

Yup.

 

Keeps putting me in battles that are close to half finished and on the losing side (since winners hardly leave an unfinished battle).

 

Terrible system.  I will gladly give up my weekly mission chain to avoid this crap.

Well- aren't those battles the ones where they need arriving players the most?

I'm happy to see at least someone is having fun.

It may not seem like it, but this event is actually supposed to be enjoyed by players.

I have been playing this game since 2013 and this is without doubt the worst celebration I have seen. The game has become an absolute sham and I am convinced the developers are simply using this game now for practicing their computational skills in preparation for other projects. You would be a fool to spend real money on this game now as the product is poor, unreliable and its parameters are constantly changing.

Those are the battles that need to be mercifully ended with the timer.  Start fresh.

 

I'm not wasting my time/supplies on a random battle that is already decided and am unlikely able to complete my mission (the sole reason I'm in the normal battle).

 

There's a crystal economy in Tanki. If you ignore that then you will fall behind.

Exactly.  Amen to that last sentence.  Why can't they fix the crystal economy instead of all the problems it creates?

why do the servers have to send me all this information? It's just a waste of resourses and time. More filters needed.

Problem:

 

The browser simply cannot update all the information it gets from the server regarding the battle list - how many players/battle, which battle, how many battles, time of each battle etc. etc. Nothing is wrong with the server, or our internet. It is our PC. Going by the algorithms of most browsers, a lot more resources - such as RAM - are needed.

 

Solution:

 

Divide the battle list into 4 parts, like the General chat was divided. Each part can be distinct in the battles they contain. They can be separated based on the battle modes. I mean, one list for only DMs, one for only CTFs, one for only CPs, one for only TDMs.The browser loads a battle list only when the user switches between lists. A fifth list consisting of all battles might be kept, and when a user switches to it, a warning of potential lag can be given, although in my opinion a fifth list such as this is a bit unnecessary.

 

For times such as this with a special map, a fifth list can be put up, called pumpkin hunt, or assault mode during new year celebrations (yeah you better prepare for that one, else this game is going down the chute, in a competitive market you gotta learn to keep a reputation, no offence). 

 

Since matchmaking is coming soon, and the separation between pro battles and regular battles will be gone, I won't bother suggesting a list for pro battles purely.

 

We can switch between battle lists by simply clicking those 4 game mode switches at the bottom. In this case, You can't possibly keep multiple selected. You will go to the lists according to the button you select.

 

 

 

This is just a suggestion, open to changes the devs deem necessary and feedbacks. From my knowledge of codes, I think this overcomes a great deal of lag.

 

And boi, if, just if you don't properly handle this stuff before new year celebrations hit, oh boi, let the show begin...

So the devs aren't as thick headed as I thought, this is definitely some nice stuff :D would like to know though that whose idea exactly it was, cuz it doesn't look like they read mine (Nives would leave a like if he did). Or maybe he did, then stole all the credits :ph34r: jk jk :P

wow i got 26k from halloween to now i love this halloween special misions 100% guranteed!!!

The missions are not guaranteed lol, I had to change missions 4 times to acquire one today
