At least you were sent to a battle. I tried joining a battle using the list and all I got after waiting to load over 30 seconds each time was a trip back to the lobby.

Seriously, you shouldn't be getting this worked up about a game. Take a break if that happens, after all, you play the game for fun not frustration.

No, this will not be like matchmaker, because when MM comes out there will still be a battle list to choose from, where you will be able to create custom battles for free. Although I suppose since you are really focused on missions, you won't like it, because the catch is that missions won't be able to be completed in custom battles.

Right. The only battle list under MM will be for Pro battle, which I do not play. I play to complete missions. I hate Poly CP and all the other meat-grinder games.  And those account for over 90% of all the Pro battles out there.  Pro battles are brain-dead.  

 

So - unless I remember incorrectly - there wiil be no battle list under MM for players like me.

With server restart tomorrow, at 02:00 UTC November 2nd, all non-PRO battles will return to Battle List, with two changes:

 

• All Battle Filters will be active, and you can filter by DM, TDM, CTF or CP, but only one filter can be active at a time.
• If we face a similar critical situation we will need to remove regular battles from Battle List again, for a short time.

 

The return of all regular, non-PRO battles to Battle List will go live 02:00 UTC November 2nd.

Hmmm, I'd like to completely filter out pro battles so I only see non-pro :3

I know, right?  If updating the battle list adds so much overhead, how abut simply shutting out the battle list I do not need? The Pro section. Want to check CTF battles? Click the CTF icon. Want to see Pro battles? Click the Pro icon.

 

It is so obvious and logical Tanki will never do it.

 

Well- aren't those battles the ones where they need arriving players the most?

Who is "they"?  It might be  in the interests of the team winning the blowout to have more victims to feed upon.  But it is not in the interests of those players forced into hopeless battles

thanks tanki , it seems to be the timer when placed on pause now runs faster then 2 minutes . just got kicked from a private battle which I was doing a mine picture and lost over 500 mines .. not impressed .. and yea i hit pause and did have lots of time to get back on but it was all ready done for me..

I'd like to be helpful and constructive, but the apparent sheer incompetence of the game's administrators and developers this week has made it difficult to think clearly.

 

I still don't understand why you want to impose a matchmaker system. You've not come up with a single argument that makes sense to anyone playing the game, and your recent attempts to impose it (one planned, one unplanned) have been a total disaster each time. What is it about this matchmaker system that's really going to benefit players? Or will it make more revenue for the game? I understand revenue as a motive, and players will be largely sympathetic - they want you to thrive as a business and keep the game alive. Tell us.

 

And what is it about matchmaking that's so difficult for you to implement? Is it really beyond the capabilities of a professional programmer to ensure that someone who hits the battle button doesn't end up in a battle 0-5 down in CTF (or 0-40 in CP, or 17-62 in TDM)) and heavily outnumbered against tanks which are 8 ranks higher? Do you not understand the algorithm you have which picks the battles? Would you like to share your problems here? 

 

And let's assume you do fix the matchmaker system, are you really proposing to remove the battle list option? People are going to get a bit tired of playing bland battles on bland maps dominated by the guys with fully-upgraded Viking/Ricochets and heaps of supplies. We can defeat those guys, but only through skill, experience and guile, and  on the maps which suit us.

 

Help me, here.  I want to be constructive, but  I really don't get what's going on in Tanki Towers right now.

You can also add an option for 'no filter', that is none of the battles are visible.

Many players just use lobby to chat.

It might help in reducing lags.

Or 2 filters:

 

1 filter for Standard Battles (ON/OFF)

 

1 filter for PRO Battles (ON/OFF)

 

If both filters are OFF, you'll see no battles.

I just finished 3000xp on the Halloween map with Isida.  NOT FUN. Not a celebration and I will NEVER bother again.

 

This years Halloween map is terrible.  No jumps, no place to hide (well kinda behind one shack)...it is just a dark bowl where projectile weapons can shred you.  The rank limits are still ridiculous....how is it even possible to beat a player 8 ranks higher than you; M2 vs M4?  Shame on you Tanki for such an atrocious holiday offering...lazy, inconsiderate, and poorly executed.

 

EVERY THING YOU DO seems to be in the face of players...you seem to be able to get NOTHING right.

You need to go to the top level with Smoky, Thunder or Magnum, mine, try to make allies, that's how I did 2 3k missions. Flawed map and flawed mode.

I did it with Smoky/Titan :ph34r: Didn't sit on top tho just was driving around and getting kills. :P With premium it takes little faster to finish it, but still it gets little boring to play DM for so long.

I did it with Smoky/Titan :ph34r: Didn't sit on top tho just was driving around and getting kills. :P With premium it takes little faster to finish it, but still it gets little boring to play DM for so long.

I also did it with Smoky/Titan it is a wonderfull combo in those low ranks :) Only didn't got the mission today :/ But I won't get bored of DM because you can't have multing teammates :ph34r:

Yeah, I tried play with Twins/Titan, worked too but needed more range so decided to try with Smoky and it worked good so kept going with it. :P

And yes I agree on that, in DM there is no mults or anything, so in that case yeah its better. =)

I had to admit that I cried when I got my first 1 week ban, but I was like 10 years old, now I'm 16 and I cry for other things :x

 

dude - I understand that you try to soothe the kids here ... but what you say is not plausible - at age 10 you are NOT allowed to enter this game at any circumstances ... even at age of 16 you may play here only if supervised by an adult (over 18) !

Sure there's always the Polygon-crystal-farming Pro-battles.

 

But I often find a good Kunger or Serpuhov CTF game. Those are the best - no DD Magnums (well if they get a lucky supply drop) and you can actually implement tactics.

 

Problem is I'm still doing my mission chains in "normal" - but I have a feeling that's gonna end in near future...

Plz nive try to speak to the devs and bring the x10 gold again for 24 hours only coz that day I could not enter any battle ..even when I hardly join they said re enter after re entering I am removed from the battle...please try to bring it before Nov 6 as it is the last day of celebration :(

OK developers who claim you want to "make the game more fun and balanced": try to complete, in a reasonable time frame, a 10 CP point mission on the Polygon map with 1 CP point where a DD magnum sits at the top throwing stuff at you!  Good luck! But noooo, we cannot have our choice of map because where is the fun in that!

Oh yeah! and you by an MU and then either have to wait 6 days for the upgrade or you have to spend about 20K in cry to speed up! Totally worthless.  And why aren't all the sales on at the same time and last the full week? Why do they have to space them out?  Well, if you have not figured that out yet, eventually you will!
