NOTE: The smaller categories were removed because they had way too many entries, and it didn't make any sense to reward people who got only five-ten out of the total fifteen answers correct, and add the fact that there were well over two hundred entries meant that we had to decrease the rewards in order to maintain economy and contest rewards. Since this decision has been made final, appeals will not be taken into consideration.

Ikr, why would you offer such high rewards and then, due to your own failure to make the quiz hard enough to warrant those rewards, change the format of the quiz completely? 60 people are left extremely disappointed even though they put in the effort to get a very high score on a difficult quiz.

 

Now, you could not have forseen that so many would enter and get lots right, but instead of changing the whole format of the quiz without informing us one bit, you should have just decreased the rewards to the point where those who deserved it could get them. It would have been a lot better for 90 people to get 5k than 30 people to get 20k.

 

Another point, for the 25+ category, some people could have scraped the 25 points whereas others maybe only got 1 wrong. You could have chosen the TOP 30 instead of a RANDOM 30 to recieve the prizes; only using a RNG to decide when there is a tie in points.

Maybe you don't know , but the newspaper team reserves the rights to change prizes without advance notice. Well I too don't like that there are no prizes to atleast those who got more than 50%

Regarding the Wolfenstein/Magistral issue, I got word that the list is variable - Magistral was in the map pool when the maps were being decided, but it was removed right after. Therefore, the correct answer we will be going with it "TRUE".

if we wanna balance the contest economy... a total of 720000 crystals were given away in this contest while only 199000 was given away in find me. shouldn't you increase the rewards in find me to balance it out? :P

Different type of contests have a different set of rewards, however, due to a mistake on my side (that I didn't realize we could pull in two hundred entries), the reward system first promised was highly imbalanced. Even if we decreased the rewards by more than half, there were still eighty-four total winners, meaning that we had to make a system where only the best would win. Since that's not possible in such a contest, we decided to finalize the decision by going with a random thirty winner reward system, and here it is.

 

I do hope such a mistake won't happen again in the future, I apologize for any difficulties!
